ITT: what did you get/are getting your mother for mother's day?

On my end, gardening gear including cool solar-powered lanterns. She gardens a lot and has worked hard on creating new areas on the property this year. Called me earlier mentioning she really appreciated it. I had to have it shipped there since I live far away now and we only see each other a few times a year. My parents are getting older and it's been dawning on me lately that, realistically with the amount of years they have left, the total amount of times I'll see them before one of them dies might not even pass 100. That's a pretty scary thought.

Appreciate your loved ones every day. Thought I'd make this thread to see what everyone else got/did to generate potential ideas for next year as well.

Also, happy early mother's day to our misc moms

Not gonna download my mommy issues on the misc, let’s just say mother’s day is meaningless for me at best.

I am sincerely glad you get to have that healthy relationship.

Enjoy brah. srs.

happy mother’s day to all the prospective future mothers of my children.

Thank you!

My son and I celebrated last Sunday since he has to work all day tomorrow. He took me to see Guardians 3 and then out to lunch at one of our fave restaurants. We came home and finished the last 2 episodes of Punisher season 1. It was a great day. He's still going to come over tomorrow night after work for dinner and we'll watch some Jessica Jones season 2.

I got my mom a gift card to a salon. She had mentioned the week before I went to beach for my bday weekend that she'd be there the next week and getting her hair cut. So while we were there I grabbed a gift card to the salon she was going to and left that for her as an early Mothers Day gift. She's on a cruise now and won't be home til Monday so won't see her.

It was a combo gift. My brother sister stepdad and myself all went in in and spit 5 tickets.

They were not cheap but she’ll love the family outing too since my brother lives out of state.

OMG! What a great gift! I tried to get Aerosmith tix but everything but the $500 seats were sold out by the time I got into the queue. They are one of the only bands from back in the day that I've never seen and wanted to check it off my bucket list.

That is so awesome. I love experience gifts. I always get my son concert tix for his bday and Christmas.

My mom lives in a remote area and I visit her once every couple of years. Last time I visited, I had a 12 step book on kindle about people who are trying to overcome overeating, and she loved it. My mom has had a weight problem all of my life.

I bought a physical copy of the book from Amazon and had it mailed to her a week ago.

It’ll be a surprise for tomorrow. We got her a card and printed off “faux tickets”. She almost bought them herself when they went on sale then saw cost and we all played dumb. Like we had just heard, even though we bought them a few days prior on presale lol

I’ll say we all owe my brother. He makes bank and works from home so he was early in the line to get them and fronted the cost up front. I also sold my Taylor Swift ticket(not for this reason) so I had quite a bit of discretionary money. It only seemed right

I did this once and had considered doing it again but went with something different this year. I always tried to have a potted plant delivered so she could transplant it in her garden and see it return every year.
