D'Angelo Russell was basically unplayable in game 1 but still played 30+ minutes in game 2 and once again did jack chit.

He was so bad that Mike Malone singled him out after game 1 and was ironically singing his praises. Everybody sees he's a traffic cone except Darvin Ham.

After what happened in the 2nd half of game 1 and before game 2, i thought the obvious adjustment was to start Hachimura and bench Russell, who's a huge net negative for the Lakers this series. Once again, obvious adjustments that only Ham fails to see.

Furthermore, Lakers are a below average 3 pt shooting team, there's no reason to jack up 30 3pts, especially on the road. Why do the keep acting like the Nuggets have prime Wilt guarding the paint?

The only glimmer of hope here, is that the Nuggets did drop game 3 and 4 in Phoenix after being up 2-0 and Lakers are great at home.

I've been saying it for a long time.

Vando is borderline unplayable. His offensive game is by far the worst of these elite teams and it's not close. Beasley is LITERALLY unplayable. He can't hit shots, and he's a very bad defender. DLO is basically unplayable now also.. he can't hit shots, and is ATROCIOUS on the defensive end. His offensive games are by far worse than those "bipolar" AD games.

He has lost himself a lot of $$

I will say that the Nuggets are probably the best "home" team in the NBA, and Lakers played them close on each.. Lakers haven't lost at home in the playoffs and they gotta hold serve at home and get it to 2-2 (which honestly just seems super likely)

The reason I always thought Denver wins in 7 was I thought this was gonna be a Home and home series. Where the home team always wins, and Game 7 is gonna take place in Denver and they will win is my prediction.

D’Angelo Russell in the WCF:

9.0 PPG
43.4% TS
36.8% FG
12.5% 3PT
-41

DLO is a-41in 2 games where the Lakers lost by 6, then lost by 5.... They are a+30when he's off the floor lol

It's actually insane

LeBron is in the WCF in his 20th season lol. This is more than anyone could have asked for. He's played really well honestly, it's just the 3 ball is so down bad right now it's overshadowing his entire game

He's been a monster on the defensive end and orchestrating the offense, it just sucks that he has to play 41-43 minutes a game and be a defensive anchor right now with a fukd up foot.

If he was able to average 34-35 minutes a game he'd give you much more aggression on the offensive end, but he started shooting those 3's when he had DS and Vando as his wings/guards out there. I thought it was a bad position to put him in if you're Darvin. He needed to bring Reaves in the game, and I'm not sure if Rui was in or not.

Bron has to limit himself to 3-4 3pt's per game

Jokic isn't in the GOAT discussion though. Show me a video of MJ doing this and then we'll talk.

Thread is called "NBA Playoffs 2023" dumb dumb. The clip posted is about game 2 of the WCF. Why did you bring MJ into the discussion?

Anyways, here is a clip I found within 10 seconds:

Longtime DLo hater here and I've been feasting this series. He's a decent role player and should be a secondary ball handler 6th man type but thinks he's a star and should be paid a max lol. He's in the Dillon Brooks realm of what he thinks he is compared to what he actually is. Both teams have played great these first 2 games. Bruce Brown has been really impressive and MPJ has shown more defensive effort than I've ever seen out of him. Gordon needs to do something to make the Lakers actually try to guard him. Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura are earning themselves a lot of money this run and Lebron and AD are still great

question, does anybody seriously expect a 38 year old lebron who has played 20 seasons in the NBA to absolutely carry a team? I think people need to expect that he isn't that guy who can just say f it and give you 40 points when the team really needs it. You'll always get a steady 20-30 points from him along with some good defense and passing. He's still a top 10 player in the league even with all that mileage.

he's only behind Kareem in minutes played overall. Nobody in his realm of minutes played was even remotely this good. Guys like Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, Tatum, Curry, Doncic, etc are all better. It's a young mans league. But Lebron still holds his own.

Jokic when it's all said and done could be a top 5 big man of all time. And certainly out of all the big men, he had the most unique and unstoppable offensive skill set. OFC he will need to win championships first. But the man absolutely carries hard.

The problem is the foot/tendon injury he had. It requires foot surgery, and he's having a tough time getting past defenders with his first step and it takes away from his lift. Pre injury LeBron they season was averaging 30.

Another issue right now is he is playing HEAVY minutes, and needing to mask alot of the issues thus team has as far as roster construction. We have no backup big, a lack of rebounding, DLO/Dennis/Reaves aren't playmakers who can get others involved. LeBron has covered for a lot of stuff while also playing wayy to many minutes

AD has had a very up and down playoff also, but he's not been very good on Jokic but really he's a better roaming type defender rather than just throw him on someone and lock them down.

But people say he’s the goat. So we’re holding him to that standard. Surely a goat can lead a team to 5 rings. Like cmon. Are we really lowering our goat standards now?

does anybody base Jordan's GOAT status on his last two years in washington? or Kareem's argument for goat on his last 3 seasons?

if it's not 5 rings it's gonna be six rings, then 7, and so on.

Okay but they performed. It’s not unfair to expect Lebron to perform at some point in his career. Daddy wade, Adam silver, a weak eastern conference, and the bubble, can’t save you forever. Just win ffs

He’s like 1/20 in the 4th quarter from 3 this post season.

The Lebron haters are loving this series. They aren’t even watching the games lol

Sad because it’s been good basketball and Denver just barely took these two at home at altitude as the #1 seed

This is a horrific comparison lmao.. Lebron is 38 in his 20th season. He's by far the greatest player at this age and it's not close. What was Kobe doing in his 20th season? What was MJ doing at 38-39?

Lebron and the Lakers have literally overachieved this entire postseason, Denveris favored to win this series. The Lakers are underdogs going into this series. I know a lot of you don't seem to understand this, but that's what they are.

By this age they had more accomplishments. Lebron is playing catch up.

It’s not unfair to expect Lebron to perform. You hold him to such a low standard. You’d think he was a role player
