The national Parks in the US and how well they manage conservarion with tourism is probably the greatest thing about the US.

Yeah, I drove out to San Diego for the Navy and then drove back to the Midwest 7 years later.

Driving through Utah was pretty epic. I insisted that on the way back (I had around 3 weeks before I had to start my new job) that I would at least stop at Zion, or something. I didn't, but it was still great scenery along the way.

Yea that's the way to do it on a vacation like this. Anything adventure related just go alone or with the boys that are up for it. The relaxing vacations are best in groups.

Das it boyo. Honestly it's on my list of a few places I want to go. BC was always a place I wanted to camp at and explore.

Not sure tbh. Some of the places I want to go are BC, Italy, Croatia, Sweden, and Colorado mountains. Also Sawtooth mountain.

Yea it is quite an amazing feat. they do with conserving these. The foot traffic at a lot of these places is insane.

Nope. Is that the one in Cali or am I thinking of a different one? The other thing I realized is I have so many friends across the country now from Louisiana and Florida to Texas and California and all the way to Oregon and Washington that I can probably do random long weekends wherever and just chill at their places (which they've always told me I could do).

Yea the driving really is epic. Just winding through the mountains and along canyons. I only did a small part of Utah too. Next time if I'm ever there I have to Moab too which everyone recommended.

Yea sadly I couldn't do "The Narrows" hike where you hike through the river. It was raging while I was there and people said it doesn't look like it'll open for quite a while.

I have a lot more videos and pictures. At one point there's a trail you can take from stop 3 (on your way back to stop 1 visitor center) and walk the pave path back to the main visitor center. There was barely anyone and I was jumping on and climbing giant boulders to sit on and soak up the views. Tons of snakes though. Felt like a kid again just exploring and just with my own thoughts.

Good luck on your trip brah. Doing all five is going to be EPIC.

Family used to go to Zion a bunch as kids 40 years ago.

Is there still a motel called Bumbleberry Inn in Springdale?

Edit: Yup it's still there. Opened in 1972.

Definitely go outside more and enjoy the weather and sun. Winter here made me stay inside so much and this trip showed me that I need to enjoy fresh air a lot more haha.

Haha that's crazy. I walked by that place a ton. I stayed right by that place.

Your parents got to enjoy it without the influx of people too. Everyone said even like 5 years ago it wasn't as crowded as it has been the past few years.

Man 3 weeks would have been amazing. I'd travel the whole state then. Sounds amazing.

Definitely my favorite trip I've ever done thus far. Just never experienced anything like it.

Mirin. I stayed at a lodge in Springdale years ago, one of those amazing, built out of yuge logs types. I forget the name but was cool as hell. Zion is breathtaking. Entirely unaware of Snow canyon. I need to look into that
Here's to swimmin' with bow-legged women.

Was GOAT flew into Denver so also went to Rocky Mountain Ntl Park and did a loop round Utah, did the 5 Utah National parks, Grand Canyon North Rim, some state parks, Grand Staircase National Monument, Monument Valley and more.
