He was probably all gassed up on AMFs, and didn't even think twice about it. I've done some stupid **** trashed, so I get it.... but damn.

Until this thread, I didn't realize sharks tail large cruise boats, so hes literally awared the whole world of such an issue. From a utilitarian point of view, we can at least say his death did some good in educating the world of dangers of sharks at sea...

its fun to goof on him, but I bet he was a good kid tbh.

but yeah. awared the world of this total negligence on part of the parents & school. Shoulda never had a "booze cruise" for those teens, shoulda never left the country to do so and most definitely shouldn't have been on a boat at night.

Had the boat been moving and he simply was dancing and slipped off then drowned because ships can't turn on a dime...it would be equally as tragic and blameworthy. Same with if he had died via alcohol poisoning/hazing (that we never woulda heard about if not for a shark).

So in the long run he did not die in vain as other tragedies have likely been prevented.

Exactly, poor kid, but probably saved 2 or 3 lives of other drunk ass individuals at some point in the future.

In most parts of the world there's nothing particularly stupid about swimming alongside a boat in the ocean. People do it all the time. People surf, dive, snorkel, swim, in waters where shark attacks may occur and the chances are very remote.

Are tourists seriously going to the Bahamas and not spending a lot of time swimming in the ocean?

Edit: 3D drone pic of the area. Athol island is the long thin one to the east.

Sharks come closer to the shore at night, around where the boat was anchored. They're also much more active hunters at night

In the day they're usually out in the depths

This. The guy is only concerned with how to monetize that video. 90% bye bye brah is going to leverage that video to become an “influencer”.

Kinda hilarious though that a loud obnoxious “bye bye” is possibly the last think sharkbrah ever heard. And more hilarious that bye bye brah gives 0 fukks.

Kind of agree. I mean was it stupid and reckless? Yeah, and on hindsight, of course it’s even suicidal. No chance in hell anybody is walking out of the ocean if they did the same.

However, he was just a kid partying up, having fun, wanting to do something epic or whatever, I’m not saying it wasn’t a stupid move or anything, but at the same time we see all the time on movies, tv, real life etc people anchoring their boats and just swimming on the sea, snorkeling etc. Hell I’ve done it, granted there were a bunch of other people on other yachts swimming too but I wasn’t no ocean expert either, kind of just followed the crowd.

So now I’m wondering if anybody in the crew, or their teachers, or in the city, anybody whatsoever warned them about the dangers of the water? I mean it’s a bunch of retarded 18 year old drinking and possibly doing drugs, maybe a “just for the record, be careful not to fall to the water because you ain’t coming back”. Just a clear warning that they have to 100% stay on the boat.

Now that the shark debate has settled, we can now start focusing on the poor kid, honestly I feel empathetic now, must have been absolutely horrible to be in that situation, it’s like something out of the movies, the kind of **** you never think will happen to you in a million years. A nightmare scenario, that feeling of hopelessness, immense fear, physical pain, sadness etc, that must be hard to describe with words.

And on top of that he is known as an idiot too even after his death. Man his parents must be losing it right now

21 page thread because some low IQ pleb thought it would be a good idea to jump off a moving boat? Even a 4 year old would know this is dumb AF. Imagine doing this as an adult. Jfl.

Lol at the current state of the world - where apparently people need to be sat down and lectured to understand that maybe jumping into the ocean, in the middle of the night, whilst intoxicated, maybe isn't the best idea.
