Woman reached out then went cold fast?

Been getting a long with a single mother (quite hot) at the gym.

She reached out to me on Instagram and would tell me all about her & would write long text, reply fast etc.

So I kinda asked her out saying "there's quite a few high end restaurants I still want to try. You can come sometime" after a few days of exchanging

She made up a big excuse she's busy. However she went cold after that. I've backed off completely, but I just don't get this Hot & cold behavior

Any suggestions here?

Don’t think so, but she either just wants a texting buddy or your passive invite turned her off. Go NC for a bit, see if she hits you up again, if not then spark up a convo and be more direct in your invite after a few messages. If she gives you excuses or whatever and doesn’t offer an alternative, just leave her on read and forget her.

I'll follow your lead here. Kinda hard smack in the face tbh.. It's crazy to think that they "hit" you up multiple times online and we interact face to face a few times, just to make one wrong move (passive invite) & it's game over.

I do lead her quite well in the gym by fixing her posterior chain while training etc. But then again, she probably did me a favor...
