The predatory loan system used by colleges is indefensible. But the idea of taxing tradesmen and laborers to bail out the 1/3 of the country who took out loans to go to college is just as indefensible, especially when we all know this was just an attempted handout to higher-earners/democrats.
The best path moving forward would be:
1) tax college endowments to pay for student debt relief
2) make student loan qualification account for future ability to pay
3) colleges who continue to accept/graduate students who are unable/unwilling to pay back their student loans will no longer be eligible for federal student loans for their students

He made this pained grimace like, "This is what I'm paying for???"
Reminds me of these people bitching about paying back their loans.
As for the con, there is something called Google, which will tell you what major will lead to what job. It also tells you the worst Bachelors Degrees one can have.
