BREAKING: Trump hit with more charges in Mar-A-Lago docs case. IT guy charged
Indictment PDF:https://storage.courtlistener.com/re...652.85.0_2.pdf
https://www.cnbc.com/2023/07/27/thir...ents-case.html
- Former President Donald Trump was hit with three new criminal charges in addition to the ones he already faced related to his retaining classified documents at his Florida residence after leaving the White House.
- Also, a third defendant was added to the case against Trump and his valet, Walt Nauta, as part of the superseding indictment in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
- The new defendant, Carlos De Oliveira, reportedly is a worker at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida.
Former President Donald Trump was hit Thursday night with three new criminal charges in addition to the ones he already faced related to his retaining classified documents at his Florida residence after leaving the White House.
Trump is accused in a new superseding indictment with his valet, Walt Nauta, of an attempt to delete video surveillance foot at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida during the summer of 2022, when federal officials were seeking the return of government records they suspected of being kept at that location.
Also Thursday, a third defendant was added to the case against Trump and Nauta, as part of the new indictment in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
The new defendant, Carlos de Oliveira, reportedly is a worker at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida.
The new charges against Trump include an additional count of willful retention of national defense information, and two new counts of obstruction against him and Nauta.
De Oliveira, 56, was charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice, altering destroying, mutilating a document, and false statements.
Trump, who is seeking the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, stored hundreds of government documents at Mar-a-Lago after he left office, and according to prosecutors took steps to keep them hidden from U.S. officials seeking their return.
Trump and Nauta have pleaded not guilty in the case, which is being prosecuted by Department of Justice special counsel Jack Smith.
John Irving, a lawyer for De Oliveira, declined to comment on the case, according to NBC News. De Oliveira has been ordered to appear in Miami federal court on Monday for his first hearing in the case.
Peter Carr, a spokesman for Smith, said in a statement, “Today, a superseding indictment was returned by a grand jury in the Southern District of Florida that adds one defendant and four charges to the prior indictment filed against Donald J. Trump and Waltine Nauta.”
Smith separately is overseeing a criminal investigation of Trump related to his efforts to undo his 2020 electoral loss to President Joe Biden. The special counsel last week informed Trump that he is a target in that probe, a notification that typically occurs before the target is charged in a case.
Trump spokesman Steven Cheung in a statement Thursday evening, said, “This is nothing more than a continued desperate and flailing attempt by the Biden Crime Family and their Department of Justice to harass President Trump and those around him.”
“Deranged Jack Smith knows that they have no case and is casting about for any way to salvage their illegal witch hunt and to get someone other than Donald Trump to run against Crooked Joe Biden,” Cheung said.

The guy charged is De Oliveiro, and he is some kind of valet or maintenance guy. He wasn't an IT guy, though his crime was consulting with IT people about trying to delete video footage

they don't want anyone to even work with him. It's an all out assault. As someone who isn't really a Trump fan, they are making it way too obvious.

It’s so fkin ridiculous. They keep piling on because they’re terrified of him becoming President again.
Fulton County, GA just barricaded their courthouse (srs) and Jack Smith had 6 hours with the DC grand jury today. Sources are saying both jurisdictions might hit Trump with double indictments the same day or within a few days of each other.
How every single American doesn’t realize this is orchestrated election interference and weaponization of our once sacred justice system is beyond me…

How does that work?
You do realize that Trump is poisonous to the Republican party right?
They are dying off anyway since nobody under 30 years old cares about trans people or complaining that new movies are "woke".
However, Trump is moving the process forward much quicker than it would happen naturally.

Trump is phuked. He'll grift from his moron cultist as long as possible then cop a plea in spring '24 or thereabouts.
Just lol at cultist and their criminal master.

Now I don’t think him accepting a plea is likely. He can afford a conviction in the NY Stormy Daniels trial scheduled for April. That’s a bullchit case where even the left admits Alvin Bragg stretched the law to unprecedented lengths for the sole purpose of getting Trump. I haven’t heard any legal minds speak favorably about that one. He might even get acquitted.
The Jack Smith trials are damning to be fair, currently scheduled for summer 2024, but will probably be postponed even further. If beyond the election, Trump has no reason to even consider a plea. He’ll he in it to win it.
All that said, how you can’t even put your bias aside to admit piling on 4 indictments in a 4 month span is political persecution, well for all this talk of deplorables, that’s very telling of your character.

The January 6th indictment and the GA indictment are both likely slam dunks too. Trump is on tape bragging about a classified document and showing it to folks. The feds have that document and likely testimony from several close to Trump.
Trump flaunted our country's laws, acted like they don't apply to him. He phuked around and now he's finding out.
