The study is definitely not just talking about the long-term effects of COVID infections.

Covid vaccines started in the spring of2021, not 2020
Did you notice that "vaccine" is cited exactlyZEROtimes in your linked study? And that excess deaths increased longbeforevaccines were available, as clearly shown in Figure 2?

"It's important to note that this fallacy should not be used to dismiss the claims of experts, or scientific consensus. Appeals to authority are not valid arguments, but nor is it reasonable to disregard the claims of experts who have a demonstrated depth of knowledge unless one has a similar level of understanding and/or access to empirical evidence. However, it is entirely possible that the opinion of a person or institution of authority is wrong; therefore the authority that such a person or institution holds does not have any intrinsic bearing upon whether their claims are true or not."

The appeal to authority fallacy is a type of informal fallacy that occurs when someone uses the authority, reputation, or expertise of a person or a source as the sole or primary reason to support their argument, without providing any other evidence or reasoning.
Here's another one:
Appeal to authority fallacy refers to the use of an expert’s opinion to back up an argument. Instead of justifying one’s claim, a person cites an authority figure who is not qualified to make reliable claims about the topic at hand. Because people tend to believe experts, appeal to authority often imbues an argument with credibility.
Here is another one:
What is the appeal to authority fallacy?
The appeal to authority fallacy is the logical fallacy of saying a claim is true simply because an authority figure made it. This authority figure could be anyone: an instructor, a politician, a well-known academic, an author, or even an individual with experience related to the claim’s subject.
Those are just the first three definitions i found in google. So you are wrong, experts, intellectuals, etc are not RULED OUT for the fallacy, as you claim in your post. You just found a single definition that supports somewhat (poorly) your fallacious argument of "they are saying it so it must be true". Finding the just one definition and using it as an argument is disingenous, typical of people that are close minded and unwilling to change their opinion or beliefs.
Heres another real life example of fallacy of authority: Friend went to a nutritionist, and she told my friend that bananas were bad, that diet coke would still make him fat and that he needed to eat every 3 hours. I told him that his nutritionist was retarded, and that she didnt know what the fuk she was talking about. He didnt believe me because she had a title and went to college for it yet i was only a gymbro, even if i have been passionately studying and applying nutrition science for more than 15 years.
Shes an expert, but my friend still felt under the appeal to authority fallacy. That mindset is the mindset of sheep, extremely dangerous and easy to manipulate as well. Youd probably be a nazi in 1940's germany (Srs).

I wasn't claiming that they are correct because they're in an authority position, you inferred that. I was also not appealing to the claims of just one expert (as is often done in the anti-vax community), its the scientific consensus of all of them and the literal studies they provide as evidence. Your 2nd definition also denotes the division between qualified and unqualified opinions.
Solid.

And no, its not all experts, its not all studies, its not all research, its not all evidence that points to vaccines being positive ESPECIALLY on young people, you are just pulling that out of your ass because again, an authority probably told you to not worry, "we've got the research bro just trust us".
Vaxxels arent sending their best clearly lol. At least be open minded bro, flirt for just a minute or two with the thought that maybe the vaxx was just a huge money grab. Just entertain that idea man, im not even telling you to take that as the absolute truth.

Also, thanks for claiming I am intellectually lazy and just trusting an authority while you hide behind the "im just asking questions bro" and don't have to provide chit to make your annoying position tenable. You're casting doubt on a whole concept that was a net benefit to society using a minority fringe positions that have yet to prove out anything even remotely accepted by bodies of experts.
You know that I can still think it was still a large money grab given the terrible neoliberal politics involved with its creation and rollout and still think they were safer and more effective than just letting COVID rip thru society unmitigated?

You seem to believe that the fact that the shot are still being promoted means that they are good even though there is so much data showing that they are ineffective at preventing transmission/infection, have at best a very limited period of positive effect, and have more reported adverse events than all other vaccines ever combined. None of that is a "conspiracy" or cherry picked.
Any familiarity with remdesivir? The drug that was forced into patients in our hospitals because HCQ and ivermectin were demonized? The stuff that is so highly associated with higher mortality that it got the nickname "run, death is near"?
Our FDA is *still* promoting that too.

If we were discussing food products instead and I said that I don't trust our system because the US allows a lot of dyes and additives and such which are banned in other countries would you still feel the need to say "but we have to trust the experts"???
Which experts are trustworthy? At this point I would say very few which are higher ups in the US regulatory agencies.
They approved giving the mrna covid shots to children despite children having near zero risk from covid and the findings in the submitted study data that to prevent a single covid hospitalization there would be something like 50 kids put in the hospital with myocarditis? Because the risk of covid hospitalization for children is so low.

One in 35 boosted have minor heart issues, here is Campbell explaining the most recent study. Now these people were advised they had injury and were able to rest. Young athletes that weren't warned and went on to hit high heart rates had lasting damage. Good luck vaxxie and go get boosted please.

Because the more people were vaccinated, the less transmissible it was (even if you're young a healthy, the people you come in contact with may not be). Because it lessens the severity of COVID when you DO get it. Because the the effects of unmitigated COVID are far worse for your heart and other systems than the vaccine ever was/will be.

"The study looked at deaths in both Florida and Ohio during the first 22 months of the pandemic and found the overall excess death rate of Republican voters was 15% higher than that of Democrats. The gap widened further once COVID-19 vaccines were introduced."
Republicans would rather die to "own the libs" rather than admit they're fearful and easily manipulated themselves, something they love to accuse the left of.
As usual, more accusations of the left falling for "propaganda" when their entire arguments are based on feels ("just look around"), falling for the baseless claims of right-wing talking heads like Tucker and Alex Jones (meanwhile, every one of them took the vaccine in a heartbeat) or at best misinterpreting/not understanding legitimate data.
Two things I think conservatives are right to bring up or debate, even though we don't agree on the cause/what to do about it:
Pharmaceutical companies do not have your best interest at heart. They are largely private companies trying to maximize profit instead of solving for the best treatments. It isn't a coincidence that it's alot more profitable to keep people needing regular "boosters" and occasional acute therapy than it is to create more effective vaccines or straight up cures. It's not a "big pharma" conspiracy, its a very foreseeable consequence of neoliberal politics. Keep them sick and need of a subscription-based re-ups, even better if we can buy patents from public research and even get subsidies from the government to do so!
It can be a worthy discussion about individual rights when it comes to government mandated lockdowns. What is best for public health and personal freedoms in the midst of a pandemic are at odds with each other. People WERE dying and the hospital system was overwhelmed (no slack in system, more private "efficiencies"). Just because it didn't meet your personal definition of lethal enough for your health/age whatever, doesn't mean it was a warrantless exercise.

At this point in time, anyone pushing the benefits of this vaccine, which isn't even a vaccine, is merely rolling around in an enormous pile of cope.

On his twitter post of the video, one MD (who has a strong post history of not being a complete "VAX AT ALL COST, SAFE AS ****KK FOREVER AND EVER"!!!) pointed out something easy to miss:
John sorry I must call you out on one aspect. A troponin of 15 is not 'high'. 15 is usually our cut-off for MI but in myocarditis the values are much higger. Conduction pathways could still be affected but as far as the myocytes showing signs of significant stress if the trop in only 15. What was the ferritin, D-dimer, liver function, ESR? Any systemic inflammation?
John uses that troponin variable to justify his interpretation, which is specifically designed to cater to his audience (for profit).
Another one (whose post history you will disqualify, as if it means anything...) mentions something further:
John, a transient increase of highly-sensitive troponin T without EKG changes or other concerning features does not represent "clinically significant myocardial injury." This can happen post-exercise.
If you do your own independent search on troponin levels and this claim regarding exercise, you will find it to be true (from sources way before COVID).
That is why I have problems with John Campbell.

The 1 in 35 rate of injury was a finding of the study, not something made up by Campbell after the fact based on his own interpretation of the data.

Modern hs-cTn assays can detect troponin in more than 50% of the general population, with some assays able to detect troponin in everyone.

they cant really diagnose a clinically significant injury this way, that is why at best they say subclinical / mild and transient
estimated incident otherwise 0.0035% via the same hs-cTnT?
