5x3 is how I train my deadlifts most of the time. With the last rep of the 5th set being close to failure ideally. I've tried higher reps but didnt feel as much benefit for size and strength/recovery. I recover better from 5x3 than I do 3x8. If I go high rep I just do one set. But feel I can get better results from 5 triples than 1 set of 10. More reps at a higher intensity. That could be individual though.

Meh, they hit the back really well and make u strong, but I quit doing them, I even hate doing stiffs or RDL's, not because how they feel or injury risk.

It's the recovery that blows. I literally feel like chit for days and it sucks away all my energy for the next workouts. It's like rinsemaxXing and feeling chit the days after.

Don't have the same issue with heavy squats so I rather just squat and do bent and pendlay rows.
