I'll play it, I really enjoyed cyberpunk but let's please not gloss over the fact the game had a lot of issues and I'm not talking about bugs

I heard it’s much better now. I know it terms of steam reviews it had a big turnaround at one point after a bunch of updates

You realise who you're talking to right. Never plays the games but forms strong opinions from what others say. From all the responses in this thread it's evident the consensus is that it's decent to great, depending on what things you value as a gamer. Best part is the prices are so cheap so why not buy it now, wait for the Liberty patch, play the base game and then decide if it's worth shelling out for the DLC?

By "reviewers" you mean people that either didn't play the game at all, or didn't give it even remotely close to a fair chance before bombing on it because a few homos on YouTube told them to?

Yeah we had our beef but the one thing I respect about you is you actually play the fuking games and your opinions are genuinely yours. Far cry from this guy.

The PS5 upgrade of Cyberpunk actually looked and ran fine, and I didn't encounter any serious bugs.

I don't consider it a masterpiece but it was a fine (7.5ish) experience especially for the price and I'm sure the new patch would improve things even further, to the extent that I'm willing to do another playthrough and decide if I want to go straight into the DLC.

What I don't get is the game is so cheap now, lol. Why not just spend a few bucks and try it out himself?

I’m starting to think the move is to play this game with the dlc and everything instead of Starfield. Then, just buy Starfield when it’s not buggy and better in a year

Played it on PS5 last year.. after the bugs had been fixed.. was a very good experience.. not Witcher 3 level.. but still

One thing it had over Witcher was combat.. was fun jumping on buildings... going invisi and slicing people's head's off

Story was not up to the same level (still fairly good).. same with the general setting.. Witcher Universe>>>

As someone who never plays games on launch, you're always better off playing a game later. They all come with some bugs or balancing issues or optimization issues that only get better with patches. I only just played Ragnarok and Elden Ring in the past few months.

Was going to buy Cyberpunk but I watched a YT review from 2 months ago discussing the state of the game today, and it's still a buggy, boring, empty wasteland for the most part so I guess I'll continue to leave it srs

Most of us on PC had little to no issues regarding bugs and such. A 3060 will be ok as long as you're not playing at higher resolution/ trying to max the game with Raytracing where (IMHO) it shines.

I barely know anyone on pc who had issues and didn't like the game.

Even all the dudes in my fps discord paused the sweat fest and took breaks to play cyberpunk and they all liked it.

I barely finish single player games and I got hooked and finished the cyberpunk campaign in like 2 weeks and even cleared like 90 percent of the side missions, I was staying up Hella late sucked into the cyberpunk world.



Idk how anyone can say the world is boring or lifeless. I can't think of a single game with more going on. It has a better world than everything except Rockstar games (rdr2, gtav).

I'll be no lifeing the dlc as soon as it comes out

The only thing about cyberpunk I'd consider bad is the driving and cars. They are super underwhelming, no customizing, very meh.

Just goes to show how far opinions vary.

Felt the opposite for me. The city NPCs felt very basic and threw me out of the experience. I was shocked how lifeless it felt compared to a game like Rift Apart which isn't even focused on immersing you in a populated city, yet does it much better.

The story was also uninspiring. I felt no connection to V, none to Keanu. I liked Panam and Judy but that was about it.

I find it so strange you loved this game so much because you're very focused on constant gameplay while I'm not. Yet I found CP2077 lacking so much in gameplay. There were too many of these long ass sections where you just walk or hear boring exposition with no fuking gameplay and I was bored out of my mind.

Meanwhile, Forbidden West was so much more fun for me. Much more combat, cooler story, far more unique world, more believable NPCs, a more enjoyable cast of main characters etc.

I agree with the poster saying it was a 7.5/10. Worth the money and the play. The thing that disappointed me was that the dialogue options almost always lead to the same outcomes.

That’s one thing BG3 got right. First play I went full evil Dark Urge and it’s made the game harder/missed out on quests because I slaughtered key characters.

That’s the kind of thing that gives a game great replayability, imo.

I experienced zero bugs on the PS5 day of release. I stopped playing and started back with the next gen update. Also zero bugs. The story and the background city are good enough for a few playthroughs.

The major problem for me is you might as well be playing in a city full of manikans. Now I could be overexagerating be a it's been months since I've played, but ultimately the city is boring. Bad NPC, no interactivity, etc.

Relentless is basically saying this will be better than Starfield. He could be right, but then you have to think about Bethesda and Starfields massive possibilities. Starfield will probably have bugs, but from a gameplay perspective we can't forget Bethesda is known for its living breathing world. Real life NPC. Companions. Consequences for everything. You'll even go to jail for stealing. And there's the different planets with their own ecological and weather systems.

Cyberpunk 2077 just needs way more interactivity and it's not Dystopian enough IMO.

Cyberpunk was fine at launch if you had a decent PC.

The only people complaining about it were literally the reddit soycucks who expected a GTA 6 because their favorite influencer shilled them the idea and people playing the console versions.

The game definitely got better with time, updates added many cool elements of the game but i think a lot of features were kept in the back burner for Phantom Liberty.

Also the art of the game is top class, level design too. The story and lore is amazing as well with so many potential ways to expand on it indefinitely.
