Reality is, if someone offered you $50k a year, your ass would water at the thought. Question is, do you have the skills to make even that? Imagine pretending that you wouldn't go to an office for 4 hours to make $1500 dollars in said 4 hours.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

You no longer have to budget it and therefore spend it in leisure. In effect that is a waste of life because the time that you have isn't used to the fullest. That life has no balance.
I say that as someone who has spent years working 5-10 hours a week remotely. After doing that I'm honestly craving a job where I have to go into the office and work a legitimate 40 hours a week. I don't respect my own time anymore and it's hard to be motivated to pursue things as a result.

If you're spending 100% of your time doing what you want to do (including hanging on my every word) then yes, you are essentially "retired" and coasting with complete ownership of your time. Now I have an egg sandwich to make.

What’s the point of “owning all of your time” if you’re too poor to enjoy it? You’re not an enlightened monk meditating and achieving a higher level of self understanding, you’re not enriching your own life by not doing anything all day, you’re not even able to provide for your own daughter based on the responses from other miscers. You sound like a loser.

How do you know I haven't become enlightened and achieved a higher level of understanding? I feel way more intelligent than I ever have...I'm a voracious reader and thinker.
If you're listening to disgruntled miscers that truth be known hate going to work then of course you'll have a tainted view of me. But you must think to yourself...what would cause these "successful" miscers to follow someone around like puppy dogs? It's that truth speak.

I never understood owning a huge house for this exact reason. Having a huge house means you will want to fill it with stuff, and a lot of it will probably be things that are largely money wasters you won't use all that much. I've seen a few people basically turn themselves house poor over it, and they end up moaning about how much work it all is and how they will enjoy the day they sell it.

Buying stuff for the sole purpose of mogging other boomers is overrated.
Many products have good utility use tho.
