Well, I do appreciate the concern and inflation is a troubling thing for many. Luckily, I always tried to diversity my income streams -- some of which increase with inflation. At this point my income in considerably more than my expenses.

Also, once you've eliminated the biggest expenses in life like a house/vehicle/debt and you don't easily fall for consumerism tricks/keeping up with the Joneses pressures -- inflation doesn't really hit as hard as it may for others.

You can pretend you're whatever class you like, but there's nothing more low class than having to beg for other people to pay for your daughter's clothing and school supplies.

Not really, it doesn't matter if they're disclosed or not. Eddie didn't disclose his and you're implying he's poor because he won't be more specific. The fact of the matter is that only people who are above average post in threads about finance. Same as manlet threads, you don't see short people making threats or boasting about their height.

You've said you have a networth of about $1.5 million. That's great for the general populace, but when everyone ITT is making $200k+, it's not really that impressive.

You're poor financially, but also in terms of family. My wife doesn't have to work if she doesn't want to, and the same applies to me. Your wife has no choice but to work. We can go wherever we want whenever we want, and we do. You go on midnight walks by yourself. Lol.

Then they specify what you will do with that time. Unless you're self employed, but then again you still have to do the required work or you wouldn't have an income. Would that be an accurate assessment?

OP he's right. Yea you're owning your own time at the expense of not being able to actually use it freely. I'm not even rich or a high earner and yet I could basically do most things on a whim with almost no thought about it financially. You can't OP. There's a saying that comes to mind that kind of goes like "Poor people have all the time in the world but no money, people with money have no time to spare."

Time means nothing when you don't have actual purpose. Imagine being a productive citizen in society and not just a consumer. You're letting your laziness and cowardness guide your life to cope with being poor and lazy.

Depends. I wouldn't consider living like he does retired, I consider it being poor and struggling.

I can only speak for myself, but I own businesses, have rental properties, and also have a high paying job. I could quit working, be retired, and still being in $60k-$70k a year without doing much. I choose to work because I don't do all that much, have complete autonomy, and it affords me all the nice shyt I want. I choose to do that with my time. He can choose to not work. But him coming here and "bragging" about slumming it on $12k a year and trying to troll people with productive lives is just a joke.

An aside, my wife just quit her job a few months ago. Nothing in our lives has changed. No one bats an eye. But a man mooching off a woman is an embarrassment.

OP he's right. Yea you're owning your own time at the expense of not being able to actually use it freely. I'm not even rich or a high earner and yet I could basically do most things on a whim with almost no thought about it financially. You can't OP. There's a saying that comes to mind that kind of goes like "Poor people have all the time in the world but no money, people with money have no time to spare."

Time means nothing when you don't have actual purpose. Imagine being a productive citizen in society and not just a consumer. You're letting your laziness and cowardness guide your life to cope with being poor and lazy.
That's the wrong mindset boyo. It's gonna keep you working until you're on your deathbed. I'd rather enjoy my time. I can afford anything I want within reason.
