Fast food menu items are like $10+ after all.
Well, I do appreciate the concern and inflation is a troubling thing for many. Luckily, I always tried to diversity my income streams -- some of which increase with inflation. At this point my income in considerably more than my expenses.

Also, once you've eliminated the biggest expenses in life like a house/vehicle/debt and you don't easily fall for consumerism tricks/keeping up with the Joneses pressures -- inflation doesn't really hit as hard as it may for others.

He says none of that is true, but when asked any details suddenly forgets. Like he says he owns multiple properties, but when asked how many he won't give a straight answer. I suppose avoiding the question is better than outright lying.

You see my friend, not everything that is physically demanding is a chore and heavy burden. Some things can be physically demanding and enjoyable at the same time. You mentioned weight -- for people carrying extra weight I totally recommend push-mowing their lawn or the lawn of someone they know.

Yes, it only costs $75 to mow a lawn...maybe $150 to paint a bedroom, maybe $300 to detail a car -- but these are things I ENJOY doing for myself or my parents. You claim to enjoy whatever you do at work for 30+ hours a week so are you open to seeing how I can enjoy things others may consider work?

You sound very poor in thought. Sometimes class isn't something people can buy unfortunately.
Whose weight did I mention? And when? You know what I enjoy? Being able to fly out not only myself and my wife, but also my family members who may not be able to afford it, and enjoying a week with my family at an expensive resort. I don't need to push mow my parent's lawns, because they have workers to do that for them, as well as everything else their home requires.

You can pretend you're whatever class you like, but there's nothing more low class than having to beg for other people to pay for your daughter's clothing and school supplies.

People that make such an issue of "poor" and "rich" make me think of people that wear gold chains to appear wealthy. Classless.

Not really, it doesn't matter if they're disclosed or not. Eddie didn't disclose his and you're implying he's poor because he won't be more specific. On the other hand, I disclosed an approximation of mine which puts me in the top 5% in the US and several people have negative nonsense to say. The funny part is that it's actually the poor people that are the ones with the negative opinions.

I doubt that all the Misc members are some kind of outlier and that they overrepresent wealthy people as a group. I would wager to bet that the Misc number of high net worth posters approximately mirrors high net worth people in the US population. Which would put my net worth in the top 5% of the Misc.

Some people are just miserable because they haven't achieved what other people have achieved. If you got more than me, I ain't mad atcha boyo. That's great, I'm happy for you as long as you're doing what you want to do. Because I'm doing exactly what I want to do

We're implying he's poor because he brags about being mediocre and has posted multiple contradictory statements.

The fact of the matter is that only people who are above average post in threads about finance. Same as manlet threads, you don't see short people making threats or boasting about their height.

You've said you have a networth of about $1.5 million. That's great for the general populace, but when everyone ITT is making $200k+, it's not really that impressive.

That other guy with the bike AVI is a poverton, but no one is giving him a hard time because he's not trying to make it seem like being poor is the bees knees and that he's better than anyone because he's on welfare. And that is why eddie is getting spit roasted.

There's deep-seated unhappiness in your life that makes you feel like a person's entire life can be measured by a number in a bank account.

If you were truly happy you wouldn't spend the bulk of your free time on a ghey indian bodybuilding forum trying to argue that people who feel successful, happy and content shouldn't actually feel successful, happy and content.

You are one of the poorest people on the misc.. You have an autistic level obsession with rich and poor.

You think so? I'm having a great time with my family, and do so everyday. Remember I am not poor. I can afford to have my phone and data everywhere I go. So I'm roasting while celebrating my nephew's 4th birthday, or while at an all inclusive with 25 close family members and friends, or at a family get together, or while out with my coworkers.

You're poor financially, but also in terms of family. My wife doesn't have to work if she doesn't want to, and the same applies to me. Your wife has no choice but to work. We can go wherever we want whenever we want, and we do. You go on midnight walks by yourself. Lol.

Confirmation bias. Make a thread about high earners and only the high earners will post in it.

You do realize that to every unbiased observer -- a person making thousands of replies to tell people how miserable their lack of money must make them DOES NOT come across as a genuinely happy person.

I'm not sure if your autistic obsession with rich and poor allows you to see what others do about the tone of your posts.

This thread isn't about high earners. Most of OP's threads that I've read aren't about high earners. I'm not a high earner. And OP never claimed to be a high earner. There's the disconnect LOL

No OP brags about owning his own time or something. We all do, except he's doing it on a budget. We're not. There's no disconnect.

So you're saying that a retired person doesn't own more of their time than someone that works a job of some type? A job literally pays you for your time, then it becomes their time. Then they specify what you will do with that time. Unless you're self employed, but then again you still have to do the required work or you wouldn't have an income. Would that be an accurate assessment?

You're poor financially, but also in terms of family. My wife doesn't have to work if she doesn't want to, and the same applies to me. Your wife has no choice but to work. We can go wherever we want whenever we want, and we do. You go on midnight walks by yourself. Lol.

Damn godfrd ethering in this thread lmao.

OP he's right. Yea you're owning your own time at the expense of not being able to actually use it freely. I'm not even rich or a high earner and yet I could basically do most things on a whim with almost no thought about it financially. You can't OP. There's a saying that comes to mind that kind of goes like "Poor people have all the time in the world but no money, people with money have no time to spare."

Time means nothing when you don't have actual purpose. Imagine being a productive citizen in society and not just a consumer. You're letting your laziness and cowardness guide your life to cope with being poor and lazy.

Depends. I wouldn't consider living like he does retired, I consider it being poor and struggling.

I can only speak for myself, but I own businesses, have rental properties, and also have a high paying job. I could quit working, be retired, and still being in $60k-$70k a year without doing much. I choose to work because I don't do all that much, have complete autonomy, and it affords me all the nice shyt I want. I choose to do that with my time. He can choose to not work. But him coming here and "bragging" about slumming it on $12k a year and trying to troll people with productive lives is just a joke.

An aside, my wife just quit her job a few months ago. Nothing in our lives has changed. No one bats an eye. But a man mooching off a woman is an embarrassment.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

That's the wrong mindset boyo. It's gonna keep you working until you're on your deathbed. I'd rather enjoy my time. I can afford anything I want within reason.
