They are so ****ed here for fast food. A sub and drink costed me $25. A burger and fries at big smoke burger was almost $30. ****en insane. Fast food ain’t it anymore. Even just McDonald’s can easily be 15-20.

Nope. I'm already paying $300/mn for high deductible health insurance. I'm gonna cancel that.

Health insurance is a total rip off if you have flawless blood labs, not obese, etc.

Go look at the chart I posted. My insurance cost ALONE is higher than $3k/year, and I STILL pay for my doctor visits 100% up to $5k/year. Lmao.

How about I just pocket the $3600/year on my insurance, do a better job of monitoring my own health(blood labs) and continue paying for my doctor visits the exact same way I have for the past decade.

If I was an obese fuktard or drug addict with 300+ cholesterol..... yeah I'd keep the insurance.

Crazy how some miscers are complaining about food delivery apps prices like DoorDash. It’s like you guys are forgetting a random person that have bills to pay is delivering your food. Of course it’s gonna be more expensive due to the convenience

2 examples since i eat the same foods repeatedly.

5 guys 2 patty bacon double cheesburger was $7.50 now $12.50 for the same burger.


popeyes used to sell a 6 piece box for 5.99, now they will only sell 4 pieces for 12.

it is not worth it and popeyes shrunk the chicken

its unskilled labor, it should be people under 22 doing that job but there are 40 year olds doing doordash as their main job because after 20 years in the job market they never learned any skills

Why do fast food when you can grab a rotisserie chicken at Costco/Sams for 5 bucks? Hell even most regular grocery stores sell them now.

I've been to the doctor 3 times in the past decade for bicycle related injuries, and I've paid out of pocket for the entirety of the treatments (stitches, X-rays, etc) because I'm never close to my $5k deductible.

pizza hut is way to expensive now. they use to have good deals but now even those are way too much

I always feel like I got ripped off when I get chicken tenders at Popeyes. 5 piece or whatever was the number and 2-3 of those pieces are half the size they are supposed to be, but yep they are counting it as a piece. Fukc that.

I started getting deep fried chicken from my supermarket where they sell it by the weight. Walmart's deli actually is good, I get chicken tenders there and the bucket of chicken for way less $$$. Fukc Popeyes

good thing about living in ethnic urban cities is that you get access to delicious, healthy, cheap, good quality food. Why would I go to mcdonalds when i can go get some tacos from the food truck for less than $10?

I can go get a filling meal at a Jamaican restaurant for $13 that taste like a homecooked meal LOL. White people get stuck with mcdonalds, burger king, taco bell and low quality Mexican & chinese restaurants.

I keep hearing the same from people I know. I rarely eat fast food myself, but of those I know they are all complaining about fast food prices, and grocery prices overall.

As I read earlier, economic reports coming out of the government the last two years have suspiciously been constantly revised down. The headline number of widely reported than a few weeks later the numbers are revised showing inflation and the economy are not as good. Somewhere around 700,000 jobs initially reported as being created have been revised down later on as not being the case.

a basic plan is in the event you break your arm (slip & fall) car accident, etc. perfect blood labs and a healthy weight wont protect you from those things lol. you carry that insurance so youre not hit with an $18,000 hospital bill in the event of a true unforseen emergency.

I'll get fast food maybe 2 times a month. What gets me more than the price, is the fact that the taste isn't as good as I remember. I love McDonald's but the burgers just don't taste good anymore. What the heck happened?

Who doesn't have $18k available immediately?

I think the only situation I'd struggle with is like.... absolutely horrendous situation like paralysis or something.... In which case even if you had a billion dollars you'd be fuked lol.

Completely agree OP. Have pretty much removed it entirely from diet and switched to cooking GOAT **** at home. Amount of real food you can buy is ridiculous compared to eating out.

Just had a breakfast at a local diner. Really delicious food, and had 5 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, hashbrowns and toast for like $14.

Still feels a bit expensive, but at least it was a really satisfying meal. Way better than anything at a fast food place.

Lol, I actually stopped paying my health insurance as well. Literally was just $400 per month being flushed down the toilet. Evernthing health related was still full price, and most of my prescriptions are actually cheaper through discount cards than whatever the negotiated rate Blue Cross had.

Health Insurance is the biggest scam. More people need to stop having it, especially people under the age of like 50.
