Why is lifting weights so mind-numbingly boring?

Have you ever wondered this?

Do you have to be on the spectrum to some degree to enjoy the same mind-numbinglynborimg chit over and over and over?

Pick up, put down, pull, push x 854,786.

Things that offer serious endorphin kicks:
really hot hot sauce
sex
rollercoasters
weightlifting

an exceptional list IMHO

If all I focused on was picking something up, and putting it down, then yeah. I's boring.

I focus on when the pain and discomforts start, and learn to separate the pain from self. I don't think about it anymore, I feel it and learn to ignore the fatigue, and push past the pain. I found those who are masochists are the biggest in the gym.

It's about pushing yourself more than you did yesterday.

If you lift for others, you are doing it wrong.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

picking up a fooking weight over and over has never entered the realm of good hot sauce, sex and rollercoasters for me.

Try HIIT on the rowing machine.
Pick a weight to work with.
Do 25 reps as fast as you can (but less than 45 seconds).
Rest for 45 seconds.
Repeat until you have 12-15 sets
Profit.

Then work on specific areas like arms, chest, legs, back
But do the HIIT every workout day.
Profit

I don't think it is. Lifting is a sort of zen mode for me. It brings peace and a sense of accomplishment few other activities provide.

Splain it. What makes the weight of what you lift over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over for years and years and years any more entertaining?

i think some spectrum tests are in order for those who feel this way

Yeah I've been lifting weights on and off for 13 years and after about a year I just lose motivation to continue because it gets so mundane and repetitive. Those who have a passion for it generally are bodybuilders who want to get bigger and bigger until they look like freaks that most girls don't even find attractive

I want to get into some type of martial arts for this reason because at least you are learning a skill

You should be getting stronger over time. It’s a game to lift more weight each time. Not just lifting the same baby weights to infinity.

Take a scoop of Bucked Up pre workout, blast some heavy metal and try to lift as much as you can possibly lift for 2-3 reps
