Why is lifting weights so mind-numbingly boring?

There's maybe a handful that actually lift with a purpose, most of the time, they have this stupid, unfocused, bored look on their face, they do half assed set, and pull out their phone.
There's times where I'm 8 sets into a workout, I look across the gym, and the same mope is still on the leg press machine.......

will say there's a bit of difference when someone lifts to gain an advantage in a sport they play...the sport is fun and lifting gives them a competitive advantage. bet there's a ton of ex pro athletes that lifted hard while playing and now it's just a casual thing to them to maintain overall health.

Not sure what you mean. You should snort half a tub of pre workout and go at peak time when gym is full of HBBs
Nothing boring about it

It's all about 3D.

If you are not a man who enjoysDedicationDetermination andDiscipline then it's not for you.
It's as simple as that so just move on.

If you want to tax your body go find a sport to play or a physical job where your movement has purpose of accomplishing some object.

Its boring because you're doing it wrong. Once you really learn how to train its enjoyable/fun/addicting. For me training like a BBer is where its at. Nothing better then hitting the gym. Getting a light warmup in/blood flowing. Then just hammering a single muscle group for 30-40 minutes straight. Getting a massive juicy pump. Looking solid, thicc, tight, Etc.
For me its two-fold. I go to the beach twice per year. Go to the pool often. And spend a lot of time on my boat. So being able to pop my shirt off all the time and look jacked & juicy just feels so freaking good. Even if I'm completely alone I love looking jacked and having a pump.
It also feels good to know I'm always one of the best looking people with one of the (if not the) best looking bodies in the crowd. It feels fukking good to mog man. To have visible abs. Veins on your biceps. Have your arms stretch the sleeves of pretty much any shirt you wear. Etc.
If you walk into a gym and you aren't one of the most jacked guys in there. If not the most jacked guys in there. I can see how it might feel intimidating or boring. Also if you are completely natty unless you just have godlike genetics and look better/hold more muscle then all other males yeah. You're just spinning your wheels.
I'm 36 but still making improvements/fine tuning my body. Feels fukking good to know 40 is just 4 years away. But I'll only look/feel better at 40 then I do now. Feels fukking good to know I can have half a dozen hot women in bikini's on my boat and pop off my shirt and look desirable AF compared to most of the fat/old dudes that have boats.

You're seeking love, attention and validation via an autistic dedication to picking up metal plates.
A person with a healthy mind that just does activities they enjoy to stay fit can feel every bit as good as you do.

Think I'm capable of hitting 800 deadlift if I put the time into doing it. How many men can say they hit 700-800 pounds conventional stiff bar? Not many.... got 670x3 and going to try for 700 in a couple weeks. Think I can get it. It's satisfying to set and work towards short and long term goals. That's the fun part.
