meanwhile you'd be giving up Wilson who is at least Smith's equal if not better, JJ is the best player in the league. i can't get on board. i'm not saying it's a rip but i would not do the deal
I mean, living in Philly, even though I'm not an Eagles fan, I'm inundated with Eagles coverage, so I've been watching Devonta since day 1. He's better. He's been ascending since the first day, and there are no signs of slowing down in his trajectory. His moves are just filthy. He can't be covered. AJ will get his, too, but Devonta is the one. He'll be a perennial all-pro.

As for Wilson, he's pretty filthy, too, but with Zach Wilson at the helm, there is no way his value is equal to Devonta for this year. With Rodgers, yes, or almost any other semi-competent QB, but with the current QB situation, no. Look at the difference in Wilson's production with Zach vs JAGs like Mike White and Joe Flacco.

Youre both right but I also agree Devonta Smith could be better. What I love about him is when they throw to him some of the times he's a bunch of yards in front of the guy that's covering him.. reminds me of TO. Not saying he's like TO , but you gotta admire the game Devonta brings

i hear you both. i really can't knock devonta. i just wouldn't move JJ for anybody. the vikings' defense is bad, cousins is still very good. you paid for jefferson and you got what you paid for so far, and he will continue to blow up.

if we're talking trade targets, consistent with my comments here, i'd go get AJ brown if anything. talk about buying low. him and jamarr chase won't be quiet much longer.

I love how Dillon has done nothing but vulture TDs from Jones for years and this year with Jones out does fuk all.

Need some input here, boyos...

12 team PPR...My team below

Hurts
Pollard
Walker
Williams (LAC)
Meyers
Kelce
Brown (ARI)

Bench:
Watson (CLE)
Hunt
Moore (CLE)
Bourne
Vaughn (DAL)
Pitts
Hubbard

Johnson (PITT) (IR)

Looks like Williams might be out for the year...here are three trades that I might could make happen...Should I pull the trigger on one of the below or just roll with my current team?

Walker/Kelce FOR Cook(BUFF)/Metcalf/Kittle

Kelce FOR Aiyuk/Engram(JAX)

Pollard/Kelce/Watson(CLE) FOR CMAC/Smith(PHI)/Watson(GB)

i wouldn't do any of these. you certainly want to wait and see what the verdict is on big Mike, who was sensational yesterday and of course got hurt. if he's out for the season i understand the urgency but if it's a sprain and you get him back later maybe you're able to survive (go get a josh palmer for example)

consistent with previous advice i just wouldn't trade these huge stars like kelce or pollard so early in the season. i think some will endorse that third trade but i'm too skeptical and it's too early.

edit - ok, Mike's done for the year

Agreed, none of those trades look appealing to me (who would be your TE in the last trade scenario?)... I'd just play the waiver game for now on WR's

See if you can swap Watsons with that 3rd team. Otherwise don't do any of these trades. Maybe try to pick up Palmer or Johnston if they're on waivers.

thanks Najee Harris for ruining my fantasy season. he has no trade value so will just sit on bench and waste bench slot.
I drafted him as my RB2 and Chubb as my RB1 so yeah im screwed

thankfully I invested a lot into running backs so I am able to use Swift as my new Rb1 and Miles sanders as my rb2. I thought i was loaded at the position. This is at least salvageable but I dont know how I can win the championship with this team. I should have been smart and picked up Chubbs handcuff to start season

I've been hoarding QBs and a few players in my league are in need of a QB. The way scoring works in my league you cant win without a top qb. I have:
Lamar Jackson
Anthony Richardson
Jordan Love

Im thinking love could get me a good player? hes averaged (over these first 3 games) 28.72ppg in my league which is very good. I'm wondering what this could get me

Is Achane worth using my number 1 waiver on or is he just a flash in the pan?

Can anyone help asap?

Cheers

the way i see it this only happens so often. i assume you either missed out on jerome ford or he was already rostered.

i know jeff wilson will come back, and raheem is in the way, but that kid just broke the game last week. the number one waiver is made for moments like this. i'd go get him, it could be weeks (or never) until another breakout star happens

Even though it's probably too late for this answer, I 100% agree with this. Achane's upside, while still risky because he's still technically the backup (for now), isleague winning acquisition. You have to take a shot at that whenever and however you can.

Lineup question for tonight. I have to fill a flex spot for tonight. I've been sitting on Watson all season and have Doubs as plan B. Which one should I start? Watson is playing but might be on a pitch count to avoid aggravating the hammy in his first game. It's a deep league (12 team, 2 RB, 2WR, 3 flex), so I need to play one of them (my next best alternative is K. Herbert, who I consider inferior to both GB WRs in all circumstances). Fully healthy, Watson is a no-brainer to start. Not sure about now, though.

3-0 so far this year, but I feel like I've gotta make a move to upgrade something here. I usually stream my defence weekly, with whatever available and has a good matchup (has burned me twice in a row, Giants vs ARZ and Jay vs Houston)

Right now I have

Cousins
Hill
Olave
D. Swift
Pierce
Andrews
Moore/Addison

with Mimms Jr, Akers, Palmer, Warren, Spears on my bench.

I'm thinking of trying to put together an enticing package for the dude with JJ as he's 0-3 and may be scrambling. Also the dude with Chase, same problem. But part of me says go get a RB to spell Pierce who's been having a down year. Id be looking at Olave + something for the 2 WR, which im not opposed too at all. Kinda want his TD's to come up first so he has a bit more value though.

I think getting Cousins in round 12 was huge. A passing dominated offence with a defence that is so poor every game is a shootout.

I've read that Green Bay is pretty conservative with returning players from injury, so I'm going to play him tonight and assume he's 100%.

Your enticing package to get the JJ owner interested is probably going to have to be more enticing than you want it to be. LOL.

Here's an interesting stat.

Broncos Longest Gains of 2023 Season

1 Marvin Mims, 99 yds
2 Marvin Mims, 60
3 Marvin Mims, 53
4 Brandon Johnson, 50
5 Jerry Jeudy, 46
6 Marvin Mims, 45
7 Marvin Mims, 38
8 Marvin Mims, 30
9 Marvin Mims, 30
10 Marvin Mims, 25

Mims has just 7 catches + 5 kick returns this year
Peyton has been pretty dumb this year, but this can't go unnoticed too much longer.

I also have Watson on the bench and will not start him until he proves he can play 100% an entire game. Hammy's scare me.

I imagine it'll be hard to get either of those managers to accept a trade that doesn't include Hill.

They are but I’ve been burned in the past with Jones returning from injury and Dillon going off. Of course he sucks balls this year so if Jones is back I feel safe playing him but Watson I’m not so sure about. I’m keeping him benched and keeping Tyreek, Tank, Meyers, and Jeudy as my WR/flex. If my receiving core was weaker I’d probably play him though.

I have Tyreek, Devonta, DK, and Puka playing and need one more flex between Watson, Doubs, Herbert, Warren, or Tutu. If they seem like a bunch of "meh" choices, this is for a 3rd flex spot, so it's not like I'm going to have top 20 choices in a 12 team league.

Yeah that’s tough. Id be worried about Watson on a snap count. But honestly in that spot I’d probably still go Watson.

they are indeed known for this. the aaron jones situation so far fits the bill. supposedly he could've played by now but they chose to give him the extra week off vs the saints (with the short turnaround from sunday to tonight). although if he misses tonight as well it's getting ridiculous.

if watson's on the field tonight i'm playing him.

Welp this is rough. Not a single carry for Jones and the offense looks anemic. I have Jones and musgrave going. I almost bet on Love going over 230 passing yards but so glad I didn’t pull the trigger.

Meanwhile that massive dbag LaFluer is using Jones the exact same way he did last time he came back from injury. Dillon is being useless as usual.
