Where's $18m coming from?

The AG is saying:

Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach, Florida
This property was valued as high as $739 million based on the false premise that it was
unrestricted property and could be developed for residential use, even though Mr.
Trump himself signed deeds donating his residential development rights, sharply
restricting changes to the property, and limiting the permissible use of the property to a
social club. In reality, the club generated annual revenues of less than $25 million and
should have been valued at closer to $75 million.

Liberals have no perspective. They think over half the country is a ‘cult’. Noobs.
Whataboutism isn't a justification for Trump's criminal behavior. It means they should be going after the Bidens harder, but Trump fukked around for years, and now he's finding out. This wouldn't be so easy for them to do if Trump weren't actually guilty of everything.

No, he definitely isn't going to jail for this one, but his business lost it's certification, he and his family are banned from being on the board of any corporation in NY, and the whole Trump Organization was sent into receivership with the intent of selling off its assets. That's probably worse than jail to him.

Actually that’s the full send signal to all out support even if he’s a cocksuker who helped himself to the cookie jar.

There is a reason they leave everyone else alone who does this chit but can’t keep their hands off trump to some truly pathetic charges. This is less harm than stealing candy from a 7/11. He negotiated some rates which are objective and all parties in the business deal got what they agreed to and loans were paid off.

Th prosecuting a former president over BS like that? During election season? Lmao he must really be pissing in their cheerios, I’m all for it.

It's a cult, they are cognitively incapable of acknowledging wrongdoing from Dear Leader. It was the same thing with Lyndon LaRouche, he was constantly whining about CIA, FBI and DOJ conspiracies all around him.

When in reality, he was just getting written up his litany of crimes.

Before anyone starts wondering why it was a judge only trial, it's because his incompetent lawyer didn't file the paperwork for a jury trial, not some grand conspiracy.

Even if you disassociate trump from the other politicians, you simply don't live through the 80's and 90's as a real estate mogul in New York, and not get to his status without a bit of corruption.

What he probably would have been able to take to the grave with him is now coming to light because he's put himself in the spotlight (no pun intended) by inserting himself into politics, and there's nothing particularly special or unique about that. It happens to pretty much every politician that is the front-runner in an election. Hell, it happens even on the local level for positions like Mayor and City Council. It isn't a conspiracy to take down trump because he "knows the truth" or is trying to "take down the deep state" or some such nonsense, its just politics.

I'd wager trump has done corrupt things in his past, but just a separate type of corruption different than that of a career politician

Worth mentioning that there'salwaysan issue with Trump's lawyers. There is also the judge's ordering of sanctions for the lawyers, of around $7500 apiece, for making frivolous arguments in their court filings.

He's punched through the bottom of the barrel in finding lawyers now. Even the charlatans have plopped off the side of his sinking ship long ago. Anyone representing him now would likely have ordered their law degree from a cereal box, or could be straight up frauding about their law credentials completely and not even really being a literate adult.

Lmao

Trump is such an idiot. It's no wonder he failed on every one of his campaign promises; he simply has no clue what he's doing.

It's chit like this that makes me want to vote Democrat in 2024.

As someone who has been following this since Rachael Maddow first said follow the money, he has always been doing weird sales of apartments to foreigners, screwing contractors here, screwing banks here, screwing his family, and that is why his neice turned over all of her dad's papers to the AG.

If you recall the neice who was angry over her dad's death and treatment by her uncle, and turned over all of the smoking guns on the family business to the NY ag a few years ago.

Funnily enough his acolytes on here claim to despise "frauds" yet they're somehow not bothered by him defrauding millions over his career. I sometimes wonder if the hypocrisy is not a bug, but a feature, of the worldview.
