Anyone else collect retro video games?

I am in the process of moving and uncovered a lot of my old video game collection. I have a lot more in storage that I will uncover and post later.

A while ago I found this PlayStation display cabinet that used to be in EB Games and brought it home.

Here is a small sampling if what I found so far:

^Old Alienware Computer set up. I have the matching keyboard and mouse somewhere...the computer was maxed out in 2005. Still works perfectly!

^ The Dreamcast was so fire back in the day. Too bad Sega killed it so early. I have about 20 more games not pictured (Illbleed, Giga Wing, etc)

^The best version of Street Fighter II Turbo out there and my only game for the 3DO lol

Post up what you have!

I have an original Donkey Kong Jr from 1982. It sits in my house as artwork, but a few times a year I turn it on and surprisingly still works. It looks like they sell them used for around $3,700.

Nah but I went to the 420 expo last weekend and there was a booth two guys had, and it was completely filled with a **** ton of 90s pop culture and wrestling stuff that was all signed.

I should have taken some pics, the dude even had some original costumes from the movies. He had the original Ron burgundy suit from anchorman, the original pants from the mask, a whole bunch of awesome chit. Dude said he was just dedicated as **** to going to signings and chasing down that kinda stuff.

He also had signed posters from probably every wrestler in the 90s dead srs.

That’s an expo I’d go to. No longer to comic con, or to reptile conventions. I don’t do that no more. But I love to smoke weed. Like a lot.

Weed expos and wrestling meet n greets .

I can collect autographs. In person below

Big Daddy V (Mabel/viscera)
the Warlord (meet n greet)
Earthquake (He signed it by his WCW name though because i met him after he was earthquake in wwf)
Koko b ware
Great Muta
Vic grimes
Jerry Lynn
Tommy dreamer
Kenta Kobashi
Dory funk jr.
Francine
Tugboat (shock master yea that’s the man)

Others by mail
Like hulk hogan.. and Ric flair. I purchased those with certificate of authenticity
All others I can only say I got by trade or by mail

Theres always a bunch of 90s pot related celebs there lol.

I met the guy who plays the dog in Wilfred this year he was cool as ****. No one was really at his booth I don't think alot of people knew who he was. He came out to the smoking area and bull****ted with me and my gf for a few while we all smoked joints lol. We are huge fans of the show so that was pretty cool. Never thought I'd smoke a joint with a semi famous person I'm actually a big fan of.

You would love it dude, thousands of people, a ton of awesome booths with crazy ass weed related products, people selling weed and edibles like crazy. And then outside is a section with a big stage, live music, a bunch of food trucks, and you can smoke anywhere.

I don't really care about retro but I would like to build a modern PC gaming cabinet with the arcade style stand up box and display. The ones I've seen seem pretty pricey though for some precut plywood.

Posting my setup from the other thread. It's updated a little since but it's still basically the same...

Here's my current setup. As far as actual collectibles, I'm not entirely sure that anything I have holds too much value tbh. My collection is mostly just my actual gaming collection over the years. I haven't gone out of my way to actually "collect" anything that I didn't use extensively. With some Ogre Battle 64 on the TV just for fun. The last photo is with the lights off to get the whole experience. Don't mind the dingy coffee table. It survived college with me and if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The collection is as follows:

Left Shelf (Top to Bottom):PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 Pro
Right Shelf (Top to Bottom):Gamecube & N64, NES & SNES (Not in photo, lent to brother), Xbox, Xbox 360 & Genesis
Center Entertainment Stand:Pi (Left side of TV), Game Gear, Nintendo DS, GameBoy Pocket, GameBoy Advance SP.

Notable games I've got that areprobablymy most collectible...
NES:Tetris, Contra, Mega Man 6, TMNT III: The Manhattan Project
SNES:Super Mario RPG, Zombies at My Neighbors
Genesis:I don't think I have much collectible on the Genesis, but all-time favorite game Shining Force is priceless to me.
N64:Ogre Battle 64, Paper Mario, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Mario Party 3 I think is collectible.
PS2:I think my rarest games are the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance games. But the entire SOCOM series is by far my favorite complete collection.

Also not pictured are my Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, which are located upstairs since they see more family use than any of my other systems currently.

iiight brahs, found some more stuff

My SNES:

I have about 30 or so more loose games and a couple more boxed (Chrono Trigger, Lufia 2)

I also have an insanely rare Neo Geo CD I got new back in the day and its the American version. The cool thing about the Neo Geo CD is that it isnt region locked, so all Japanese games automatically play in English with no mods needed:

Nintendo Power...I pretty much have everything from 2002-2012...I also have a complete set of Playstation Magazine from 1999-2012
