$100K would be starting average with minimal overtime in any sizeable metro circa 2023

Oh yeah, and every small accidental mistake will result in a lawsuit and your license being revoked, pretty much ruining your life.

Didn't think so. No one is going to put up with all that bs for pennies.
Rude patient? Call security.
Clean sht? Call a tech
Low pay? False.
License revoked? Not today, that's what nurse unions have prevented.

OP BIG MAD.

Most nurses work way more than 36hrs a week. Their pay isn't that great considering what they have to do and the responsiblity.

Also, I don't get why people side with the fat cats in this belief that only a few people should have a good comfortable life and a vast majority of us should have to work ourselves to deat for 40+ years just to live a basic life. Bankers, finance managers, politicians, lawyers, they deserve it, but an actual working person.... rage ensues.
You just outed yourself as a nurse.

This is a common argument. But if we keep up this motto that 'everyone deserves more', no one truly does, and it causes inflation.

Incorrect on so many levels that I think you're actually retarded. Nurses get the bachelor's equiv. and hit the force.

Nurses are at least 8 years short of family medicine doctor (4 years med school, 3 years residency, 1 year fellowship) and 10 years short of a general surgeon (4 years med school, 5 years residency, 1 year fellowship), and the training for MD is magnitudes more rigorous across every quantifiable domain. Most people can't even get into medical school.

I wouldn't say they are retarded -- nurses have an important role, but they have also overplayed their hand quite a bit and manipulated society.

Huh? You do know that ICU docs are on the floor right? And respiratory techs, skills techs, etc.

It's not just an ICU nurse saving the whole floor. It's a team effort.

My theory is basically they are desensitized to human bodies, they see naked old men every day, they see puke, blood, semen, ****, piss ect and have touched hundreds of men in ways a Muslim would never allow their wife to do. So fuking is no big deal to them, whats another cock, this time from Chad and not an elderly shriveled one.
actually pretty accurate.been to the hospital tons of times and know a few nurses personally.the job is hard and actually do alot more than doctors.its a job i couldnt do.turns lots of them into old mean bitches.cant blame them TOO much

Nurse here. It's not a **** job, just a prole job. Most of those quitters are likely spoiled entitled skanks/*******s that grew up in the higher socioeconomic brackets and never had to work an ACTUAL difficult job before becoming nurses. Most docs that give you any type of ****, it's easy to see they are just miserable kunts. Anyone that lets the docs/admins rustle their jimmies enough to quit the job is a low self esteem, low stress tolerance type person. Socal son. Basically i work 2 full time jobs which is close to 250k. If I only work 1 full time job would be about 120k. I've met some travelers here claiming 300-400k. But I don't want to do that cuz I've got a good routine going.

but a real nurse is 4 years of biology (like 99% of medical does this.. cause it makes sense. but you don't have to). then its 2 years of nursing school

whereas doc is 4 years of biology then 4 years of medical school

im unsure if nurses have residency but docs have 2 years of that. docs aren't making money until after residency (and prob after loans too)

and like i said.. the last 2 years of medical school for docs is prob learning about medicine distribution/ administration (pharma basically)
You don’t have to get your degree in anything to enter nursing school. You just have to do your prerequisite (things like bio, anatomy, microbiology etc) and than you can either get your associates degree in nursing (2 years) or complete your bachelor in nursing(by doing another 2 years). And ASN or BSN aren't really any different. majority of your first 2 years, are spent on education of acute and chronic diseases and clinicals, while your last 2 years are spend learning about management and theory of nursing. Only reason why nurses get their BSN instead is because majority of hospitals only hire BSN nurses or ones in process of finishing their BSN as they want to stay a magnet status. Also, a nurse can go to grad school for additional 2 years after their BSN to become a nurse practitioner.

250K-300K is very possible. It just depends on where you work. One year our hospital was offering unbelievable crazy bonuses for OT shifts. 1st OT shift extra shift was $25/hr, 2nd extra OT shift $50/hr and 3rd and all other OT shifts in the same 2 wk pay period were an extra $75/hr.

Honestly it is one of the single professions where women do a significantly better job than dudes do.

Females naturally better at being caring. If i’m held up in the hospital recovering, l’d want a dime running around me.

Keep em
