Just got back from 2weeks in the Philippines AMA?

Just got back from my first trip in the PH visiting the chick I been chatting with online for almost 2 years.

Where did you visit? I was there for 2.5 weeks earlier this year, and I'm quite confident to say that it's my least favorite country in the entire world.

I don't even know, but it doesn't bother me, I work with filipinos in a professional kitchen, they make all kinds of weird food.

I don't eat balut or anything crazy exotic. but I don't find it hard to eat. I like sour and spicy foods. I'm a sushi chef and eat all kinds of asian foods.

its about having a happy little hapa family....we just spent 2 weeks together...I think I'm pretty good at reading people at this stage in my life...I'm no dummy I don't over reach my means...

I spent some time in San Vicente Palawan sort of the locals place to vacation....its very poverty...the poverty there is on a different level.

that being said I feel its still much safer than most big city's in the USA by a long shot.

I did not feel unsafe even in the poverty areas....the culture is much more respectful than the west....and there are very few Astrophysicists running around. I seen I think 2 Neuro surgeons when I was walking the manila malls.

Its so cheap in the province, I don't mind even being generous with my tour guides, though tipping is not a common thing....its not like tipping in the west where you know the stupid 20 something is gonna blow the money on booze and pepsi....the person your dealing with has the upmost manners and respect despite wearing the same t shirt for 5 years strait so he can feed his family rice and beans.Any tip you give him is going strait to feeding his family And they are genuinely grateful.

that said I work in tourism and was an outdoor guide myself for 15 years.so I respect it and tip more because of it.

I'm not a big pics person, I kind of despise smart phone culture these days, when my current phone dies, I'm getting a flip.

I have some beach and travel pics, but I work in food and am sushi chef....that said I'm not much impressed even in the finest restaurants in the USA. the food over all was OK...the best was the food I had made my 2 young filipina girls at the small resort I stayed at in Palawan...just simple home cooked type meals.

I have six employees in Cebu and iloilo city Philippines. I have a very strong bond with all of them. They are all wonderful, intelligent, and loyal.

I hope it works out for you. I'm just reiterating the obvious that giving money to a girl was unwise because you will never really know how she feels about you since you made the relationship about money. Maybe another miscer will read this and take heed.
