The Middle East is full of history, but what matters the most, when trying to determine the issues, are modern times. Social media, state media and propaganda, “mini” revolutions…for instance, America has had a revolution every 30-40 years, the time it takes for 1.5-2 generations to reach maturity. Each revolution pushes us farther and farther away from liberty, and although they seem historically small, in reality they were giant leaps.

I don’t know enough about Israel’s modern culture, but I have been reading some things about Netanyahu that seem questionable. First, they have strict gun laws. Second, there is censorship and lack real freedom of speech. Third, turns out Netanyahu has said, on record, that he was willing to use his own people as guinea pigs for American pharmaceuticals. What this all means is, Israelis are being oppressed. This will also cause it’s own issues that will cause groups to rise up against those who they believe are oppressing them, although they are wrong about who is doing it. For example, many minorities have been lead to believe whites are oppressing them, when in fact, it is the government doing it. This is where the state media and lack of a free press/speech comes in with the propaganda.

I digress. I have a lot of learn and read about with Israel, as most of my reading about societies has been limited to Germany, Russia, Rome, Ottoman Empire, the US, Hapsburg…almost nothing on the Middle East passed 500 AD.

I read every word. I admit that I am not an expert, I have only looked into this deeply during times of crises over the years. In the end, based on what I have read, and the people I have spoken to, civilians lives are not treated well on either side by those in leadership positions. Goals mean more to Israel than a kibbutz of families. Goals mean more to hammas than civilians dying. The reasons for these differ imo because they are in different positions of power. Fundamentally though, wrong is wrong. Both sides have failed their citizens. And for some wild reason, I don’t consider more innocent deaths a route to anything but a cycle of violence.

With that being said, it hardly changes the fact that Palestinians are being starved and forced out of their land for the last 70 years.
Jewish population was not big enough back in 1947 for them to be given 60% of land, which is why Arabs were and still angry. It was artificially created by the West. Now that split is even higher and Arabs hate Jews even more.

You don’t hate to like the Arabs and I definitely don’t but you can easily see why they are angry. So it’s either Jews give them more land to call it a day or they’ll attack any opportunity they get. And if one day US empire falls and there won’t be any support for Israel, eventually Arab countries will invade Israel. You literally have an artificial state created almost in the heart of Arab lands, this people will do their best to force Jews out.
It's very easy to see why they're mad and I don't blame them, but the past is the past. It's obviously relevant to today's problems but we can't go back and change it. Israel is not going away. If the Arab world is really that outraged, they should do something about it.

Does Israel legitimately want a two state solution? I don't know. To be honest, it doesn't seem like it. Maybe they were once willing to coexist, but the constant terror attacks and hostility from the Islamic world makes the displacement theory seem quite plausible. They're not going to straight murder millions of Palestinians but forcing them into unlivable conditions in hope they eventually leave as refugees isn't outside the realm of possibility.

As you said, if the US falls, it's over for Israel. I've been saying this since day 1 which is why I'm still not convinced Israel is responsible for what Jews have done to the West. The "golem" theory is a possibility but their entire existence relies on the US being as strong as it is.
