All jokes aside sonic was a good family film so was Mario. Mario was not as good as sonic but decent.

Zelda has the background and story line though to be a very good film. I could even see it being made as a trilogy if they do it correctly and don't make it your average cheesy video game movie.

the storyline is so off the rails stupid and chaotic now any next movie would have done bad imo.

once you get into different timelines and time travel and all these different universes it's just confusing

Yeah I think the Sonic and Mario movies were rather unique in this space, they tried to make them more enjoyable for anyone as opposed to being focused on fanservice.

How does a huge company like Disney/Marvel
not test-market a film before spending $300 mill on it? The first movie sucked (people showed up at theaters but got duped) the tv series sucked. Clearly there was not going to be a huge audience for this.

Did they just do it for SJW points? Last I checked, SJW points doesnt prevent bankruptcy. Most of the wokesters are in their basements, wearing masks, watching movies on their parents streaming accounts and arguing on twitter - def not showing up to spend $20 at a movie theater.

I thought the most recent Ghostbusters with Paul Rudd was okay, not the all female trash. Especially the cameo of the original crew at the end. At least they came to their senses.

Superhero films peaked with the Nolan/Bale trilogy. Dark, gritty tone, lots of underlying themes and no wokeness.
