While you may spend all your time dumping on Trump, I want all decent patriots on our side to do well, Ron included.
I mean don’t get me wrong he can absolutely win, but it would actually be less worrisome if he were the nominee than if the Brandon was. I don’t think he’d perform much better with suburban moms than Brandon would, and in the rust belt swing states he would perform worse. Plus no incumbent advantage.

DeSantis making Newsom squirm:

Overall it honestly was very surprising to see DeSantis seeming very poised and comfy up there the whole debate while Newsom looked and sounded nervous and out of place. I didn't expect DeSantis to rack up a W at all, much less one as decisive, but good on him

Slimy greaseball democrats like Newsome need to be in highly controlled environments to thrive. Without the constant protection of all their cronies they fall hard.

How are you surprised Ron did well? Ron obviously obliterated Newsome going into based on policy, and Hannity was the moderator, so Ron wasn't stuck debating 2 people against 1 like so often happens to the Republicans in these debates. "Poop Maps of San Fran" Newsom had nothing but emotional nonsense and being a slick haired coastal greaseball Dem on his side.

People have an idea of what Newsom is in their head that just isn't reality. I think they've just seen pics of him and think he looks the part, and assumed that he's a hugely charismatic guy. He really just isn't. I don't think he's a very strong national candidate.

Dr. Oz whooped Fetterman
John Kerry whooped George Bush

I’m pretty sure dems would still vote for him. Debates don’t determine elections but desantis slaughtered him.

Desantis has been the weakest among the big 3 not named trump. Newsom would get killed on the mic by Nikki, Vivek, or Trump but he can still win.

He’s really not charismatic whatsoever and comes off as the biggest slimeball stereotypical coastal elite. He wins big in California because….it’s California. In a presidential election he’d run up big numbers in coastal cities, but he’d struggle pretty badly in the rust belt. Senile Brandon is absolutely a better national candidate for the Dems than Newsome is.
You are not taking into consideration how ****ing stupid women voter are. They love his hair and smile here in California. His policies have destroyed the state but they keep voting for him. Women want to be able to kill their babies and mutilate their children, that's all they vote on here.

And lets not forget, Last year Newsom was seriously considering forcing all schoolkids to get the COVID vaccine. The others in his party wanted the law passed. He knew it wasn't popular and backed out at the last minute

https://www.gov.ca.gov/2021/10/01/ca...s-for-schools/
After implementing first-in-the-nation school masking and staff vaccination measures, California becomes the first state to announce plans to require student vaccinations – adding the COVID-19 vaccine to list of vaccinations required for school, such as the vaccines for measles, mumps, and rubella

Students will be required to be vaccinated for in person learning starting the term following FDA full approval of the vaccine for their grade span (7-12 and K-6).
And then

His campaign does suck, though. Not sure if it's because he's realized that he has no chance now and is just phoning it in or what, but it's pretty nonexistent.

He really needed to declare he was running earlier and immediately start blasting Blumpf after so many Republicans were down on him after the midterms. Now it's just too late.

I think you overestimate people’s attention spans, and just how much can happen in a year. I’d take DeSantis over Trump, but if Trump wins the primaries I’d obviously vote for him in the general. If DeSantis can win a few early states(particularly SC) then he can get some momentum and win. Not sure what Trump is doing, and he also has plenty of issues that can pointed out.

Yea I don't think he's winning any of them. The indictments have skyrocketed Republican primary voters enthusiasm for Blumpf and I'd wager he's going to sweep the primaries.

Unfortunately the Blumpfies are guaranteeing Brandon a slam dunk re-election by doing this, though.

The only way I see can see Blumpf potentially winning is if Manchin actually enters the race as a third party candidate and runs a serious campaign.

The biggest issue with Ron is that he's bought and paid for by big donors in the establishment.

Newsom was exposed in this debate. There is no doubt about that. As soon as I saw the list of topics I knew he would be in for a rough night.

I don't think he answered a single question directly. He used all of the slippery left wing tactics in his arsenal.

I can definitely see how he keeps getting elected in communist California, but I think he would have a tough time on the road with media asking real questions.

If this debate was being held by MSNBC the list of topics would have been: Climate, Gender, Equality, Compassion, etc. and he would have thrived.

Glad to see the old Ron come out last night. I really thought Newsome would win but Ron wiped the floor with him.

Without even hearing a word from his mouth, it should be painfully obvious to anyone with eyes that Newsom is an evil c*nt just by looking at him. If not, get your radar checked asap.

Exactly this. As someone who lives in CA I can attest to this. He would be much harder to beat than people think.
