All kinds of new taxes and increased taxes to help pay for their European wars. Come on, that is basic stuff. You're going to always try to come here and play the intellectual and not even know the basics.
All those people would have been hanged if they lose the war so its not like they had nothing on the line

Also
Sounds like you may have fallen for the propaganda those wealthy elitist "founding fathers" used to get colonist in war to only protect the wealth, elitist, plantation, and industry growth for their selfish wishes.
Yes, the same people like Jefferson who spent - what's now equivalent - to 2 million a year on wine once - with debt.
Reality
The colonist were paying about 1 - 1.5% tax rate , compared to England 5-7%
After the French and Indian War- it was estimated 10k British troops would be needed to protect the colonies from Indians/ and a French re-take.
There was also the Western expansion defenses- and the current perimeter defense- not to mention the potential surge that could happen from Florida.
10k probably wasn't enough- especially if you want the colonist to primarily focus on expansion.
It was estimated this force would cost £300,000 a year
And yes / England was racking up some debt from basically world war / but the protection cost of our theater was still greater than the taxes asked.
The French and Indian cost England £70,000,000-
England national Debt was almost up to 140,000,000 after this - and the colonist - with their extremely low rates - only paid approximately 5% on the total cost of their own defense.
The wealthy colonial elitist, who almost all never got in combat - who had parties during the war - who prospered from this - didn't like a threat to their free ride - and a cut into their wealth growth.
How did this fiasco benefit the common folk of tha era - read about the economic crisis of the 1780s- some even called it the great depression of the 1780s
Revolution and independence from the British was the right thing to do- we should have waited until 1830- as well made the move to protest the people - to the handful of elitist wealth.

Not one time have I ever mentioned race/ethnicity/religion etc in regards to my thoughts on Vivek. I actually agree with him on most issues, however, my political IQ is high enough to realize his opinion on an expanded legal immigration system negates every other single issue he claims to support. Thats fact that can not be debated, hence your (leftist talking points) ie; white trash remarks.
Whats next, you gonna call me a racist for not supporting BLM?

Regarding Vivek:
My intuition is he's a semi fraud.
It seems like he did some kind of analytical survey of what each individual point withdrawal the most OG Trumpers / mixed with updated platform of possible cross over voters - and created a platform to match it, with policies he likely doesn't believe in.
They being said - I do appreciate smarter / even temperament people in leadership.
There was a weird ct part of me that started to think Vivek Ramaswamy is a fail safe democrat plant attempting to gain VP spot. He's says all the things to a T a "Trumper" would want to hear - way too much for a guy that smart. If he got VP, and Trump somehow wins , he will be positioned for the sabotage and take over.
I don't think that's the case anymore - I think he's just politically ambitious.
I don't trust him- yet

That said, illegals do vote, as they are counted in the census, meaning ares with high populations of illegals(generally D districts) get more house seats.
Fun fact: If illegals were not counted in the census, Obamacare would not have passed.
This is the effect that all immigrants being counted in the census has:
https://cis.org/Report/Impact-Legal-...entatives-2020
"This report examines the cumulative impact of immigration, both legal and illegal, on the apportionment of House seats.."
The 2020 census will show that the presence of all immigrants (naturalized citizens, legal residents, and illegal aliens) and their U.S.-born minor children is responsible for a shift of 26 House seats.
Of the 26 seats that will be lost, 24 are from states that voted for Donald Trump in 2016. Of states that will gain House seats because of immigration, 19 seats will go to the solidly Democratic states of California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Illinois. Texas is the only solidly Republican state that gains,

That said, if Party A is running on a platform of deporting you and your family and Party B is running on a a platform of giving you citizenship and the right to bring over as many family members as you want, while providing some form of financial stability(welfare) while the State you may be living in has very little in for the form of election safeguards...do you sit it out and hope for the best.
Now remember, many of these same illegals who you arguing will pinky swear to promise not violate the law and use the honor system in regards to voting and voting only...are driving illegally without insurance.

So these rich elitist developing the colonies to further their wealth are protected by the crown defending them against the French in the north (at a very high cost) and preventing the Dutch and Spanish from having an easy avenue of a rake over attack...
Then when they were asked to just pay a small portion in taxes to cover the cost of security so they could further develop the colonies- they didn’t want to pay their “fair share”
They took advantage of the crown by receiving the care security and developing and expanding their own wealth while not wanting to pay their “fair share”
So they gave oath and allegiance to the crown, only to lie and avoid paying a bill that was only a portion of what it took to secure them, so they can develop their wealth, using slave labor at that, with little to no cost on their part.
Then these rich elitist duped poverty stricken or uneducated locals into fighting a war so they could horde their wealth and not pay for the cost to create it- thus causing countless casualties and hardships.
Then they authored one of the most hypocritical documents in human history(probably laughing the whole time)
Let's inventory some of these "founding fathers" revolutionist.
7 principle founding fathers
-John Adams: never fought in the war, but did defend the Boston massacre British soldiers (got 6 acquitted)
-Thomas Jefferson: never fought in war, unless you count the time he flees from his mansion when it got attacked lol. He did get a 14yr old pregnant though
-Benjamin Franklin: never fought in combat in the revolutionary war
-John Jay: never fought
-James Madison: did not fight in the revolutionary war
Who actually did fight? Who legit put their life on the line
Central bank loving Alexander Hamilton - he new the importance of a national bank...
And the grand puppet these guys controlled, George Washington.
Others:
-John Hancock: one of the wealthiest, but never fought
-Richard Henry Lee: never fought
-Samual Adams: never fought in the war
-Gouverneur Morris: no combat in the revaluation
-Robert Morris: no combat
-Patrick Henry: no combat
-George Mason: no combat
-Peyton Randolph: no combat
-Roger Sherman: no combat
There group of elites were just scheming to gain their wealth.
You know what's funny about Jefferson? He legit thought there was a chance duping the people into war could erase is debt if they won, and went to a new country - so he added some more statues and art to his mansion with debt thinking he wouldn't have to pay.

He said he wants to get rid of 75% of federal government, which doesn't sound intelligent or very realistic.
But then, he is clearly a fake so there's no telling what he actually wants beyond attention.

As stated above, he just surveys what the retards think are possible, and blurts it out due to political ambition.
Only Trumplings think the IC can be dismantled.

Late last night i watched the R debate on news nation and he, V, seemed dickish to Haley and others claiming that they all took money from corporations.
Well duh, that is what politicians do V.
GTFOH.
Christie pointed out that the 3 would not take on Trump directly regarding age or criminal indictments.
A funny debate to watch.

Also
Sounds like you may have fallen for the propaganda those wealthy elitist "founding fathers" used to get colonist in war to only protect the wealth, elitist, plantation, and industry growth for their selfish wishes.
Also
Sounds like you may have fallen for the propaganda those wealthy elitist "founding fathers" used to get colonist in war to only protect the wealth, elitist, plantation, and industry growth for their selfish wishes.

It's a fact that they introduced new taxes when they were fighting costly European Wars. Do you think the the taxes were going in a slush fund that they would keep around in case they had to defend the colonies lol? If the colonies were attacked they would raise taxes even more to pay for that. These new taxes were to cover their debt for European Wars. I don't know how your percentages were calculated but they started taxing everyday used goods which really pissed the colonists off. Stuff like tea and stamps.
Not to mention one of the biggest reasons the colonists were convinced of going to war was Common Sense by Thomas Pain. They flat out wanted self governance in addition to the tax argument

The Brit's already had a huge front end cost on this endeavor / must to the benefit of a handful of colonial elitist- who had virtually no sunken cost.

lol no chit - the stamp act , the sugar act, etc- you think I actually don't know this?

You think the farmers, tradesmen, and indentured servants that actually fought read that? Here is the reality
Conclusion
Under British rule, the colonists benefitted from the protection of the royal navy, lower barriers of entry into the British market as well as its colonies, and obtained bounties on tobacco, indigo, rice, and naval stores. These came at the cost of surrendering their sovereignty over trade and their trade partners, which amounted to at most 3% of the colonial GNP (McCelland 1969) under exaggerated assumptions. It is important to note that not all of the incidence of British rule fell on to the colonies; the subjects of the metropole also bore some of the costs of this mercantilist relationship as indicated by lower tax burden in the colonies compared to the metropole (Davis and Huttenback 1982). Results from Thomas (1965) and Walton (1971) indicate that the net burdens of the mercantilist relationship between Britain and the colonies amounted to a loss of 0.4% per capita income, thus the economic gains from independence can be defined as 0.4% increase in per capita income.
In order to gain independence, the colonists had to tradeoff between 0.4% increase in per capita income and a lower growth in the economy for the short run, which ex post ended up being a decline in real income per capita equivalent to 0.86% per annum. Through independence the colonists not only incurred the costs of a destructive independence war and the hyperinflation as a result of funding the war through currency emissions, but also made itself more vulnerable to external shocks by forgoing the size of being within the British Empire and the protection it received from the British Royal Navy.
Despite losing the shackles of British interference in exports, the colonists did not experience export-led growth, yet they made themselves more vulnerable to external shocks to trade such as the disruptions during the height of the Napoleonic Wars. Given that the gains from independence amounted to a 0.4% increase in per capita income and the cost of attaining independence was a decrease in real income per capita amounting to 0.86% per annum between 1774-1800, I suggest that the 13 Colonies were better off being part of the British Empire in 1774; the 0.4 %increase in income per capita to be gained from independence did not make up for the short run sacrifice of 0.86% per annum contraction in real income per capita to obtain it.
