Worrisome prions are those to which the body does not recognize nor mount an immune response. This is not that.

It is indeed a landmark study that impacts our understanding of protein synthesis.

You didn't share the finding, nor the paper. You only shared Alex's take.

I think modifying the slippery sequences will be important for future implementations, like cancer treatments, where antigen specificity and synthesis efficiency will be important.

People would/could only be exposed to the same protein for a few days following subsequent vaccination. But, the responses and mis-read proteins likely differ between before versions, which kinda makes this moot.

Also worth noting that frameshifts frequently occur naturally when infected cells make viral proteins. These frameshifted proteins broaden the body’s immune response, so vaccines may even get a boost from the misreading.

And this is literally part of why there were clinical trials. It's cool they figured out how to reduce this effect, but if it were seriously harmful, more would have died in the trials. And tons would have died from the vax. But keep fishing for reasons this tech is somehow bad.
