This is assuming the QB Bias the MVP award has had recently. There has only been one non-QB to win the award since 2007 (AP in 2012). If the award this year would go to a non-QB it would obviously go to CMC

For reference, here are the stats for the MVP last year (Full 17 games, obviously we have 3 games to go)

5250 Yards (1st)
67.1% Completion % (7th)
41 TDs (1st)
6.3% TD % (1st)
12 INTs (T - 2nd HIGHEST Among QBs with 17 games played)
8.1 Yards/Attempt (2nd)
105.2 Passer Rating (2nd)
79.0 QBR (1st)
14-3 Team Record (1st in Conference)
6 Wins Against Playoff Teams
# of QB Categories Placed 1st: 4

This ignores the most important factor which is the context of the players performance.

I have always found that the teams performance late in the season had more of an impact than straight Dan Marino numbers.

McCafrey

Or B Purdy

Man NFL sucks without Tom Brady
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Somebody hide the phones.
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

Brock Purdy doesnt deserve MVP. He's not the MVP of his own offense let alone the NFL

I wouldnt pick anyone on raw stats because MVP is a context award. Who is the doing the most for his team considering circumstance

Obviously that’s not how it works or Brady would have more MVPs than superbowl rings

it is how it works when someone like brock is the candidate in question with that level of supporting cast. again, when its easy to argue you arent MVP of your own offense you are disqualified.

when its easy to argue you have the best weapons generally in the nfl, you are disqualified.

I’m all good with a non QB winning this year

But if it’s a QB then it’s Brock and it isn’t close

Your hate of Purdy makes no sense

No one talked chit about Mahomes winning when he had Kelce and Hill

No one even talked about Deebo and Aiyuk as weapons before

You know it won’t go to a RB

You’re just a Lamar fanboy even tho he’s a mid QB, it’s ok to admit that

lol you dont know ball. All you have to do is watch what Mahomes was doing vs purdy to see the difference. the kind of plays Mahomes was making, the kind of throws and off script chit that nobody else can do is why he was given credit despite weapons. What Brock is doing is mostly executing scheme that many others could do to the same or greater degree.

Mahomes on the niners doesnt lose a game. Purdy on the chiefs isnt a playoff team. Everyone knows this.

Keep telling me how much I love Lamar for some reason. I dont think he's close to MVP level this year its just a down year for play and his teams good.

I also dont see why it wont go to CMC. If he has a strong end to the season he's winning 100%.

I’m not saying Brock is a better QB than Mahomes. Obviously when he’s playing at his peak Mahomes is the best QB in the league. My point is that he did have some amazing weapons when he won MVP and this year in particular Brock is out playing him

No one talked about how dominant Deebo and Aiyuk were when Jimmy was playing. Jimmy never put up these types of numbers with this crew

The Panthers did nothing with CMC on the squad. It’s not like CMC turned his QBs into #1 QBs when he was there

So all this talk about the system and the squad is just subjective cope. There’s no way of knowing who would do well where. It’s just used to discredit people

I’ll ask you this, who would get your MVP vote if it had to go to a QB (which it will) ? Dak? Lamar? Hurts? Allen? Lmao

If you choose anyone but Brock you’re literally a moron (no offense ofc)

Several things can be true at once.

1. Brock has performed better than Mahomes this year, I never said otherwise
2. Brock is way better than Jimmy G, I never said otherwise
3. CMC couldnt win on the panthers by himself. neither can brock purdy

All of these things are true. None of it means Brock is MVP.

If it had to go to a QB no matter what, this year I would look at all the good teams and say which one would be the worst off if they didnt have their QB. By that standard Brock would literally be my last choice.

That’s literally not how the MVP works. The MVP goes to the QB on one of the best teams. That’s how it’s been for years. So you’re saying you would just literally break the mold of how the MVP has been determined for the last 15 years just to discredit Brock and not give it to him

lol, delusional

JT and Derrick Henry both had 2100+ yards from scrimmage in recent years. Can you bump all the old MVP threads where miscers were clamoring they should have won MVP?

Cmc Had almost 2400 scrimmage yards in 2019. Again, can we see all the miscers support from 2019 for him to win MVP?

What about Demarco Murray in 2014 or Chris Johnson in 2009?

Don’t worry I’ll wait
