not bad, need a good high yield savings account, or stop by my local credit union

Im good. I do spend a bit less now cuz inflation.

I could actually make lots of money but I have to trade time for it atm. So I choose to make enough and work less.

Vanguard Money Market rate is 5.3%. If Vanguard goes down you'll have bigger problems than FDIC bureaucracy.


Doing well overall, savings rate of 40% salary. Inflation is more of a background noise that siphons from potential investment money. But have made a conscious effort to grocery shop smarter, buy less things, ect.

Making decent money for where I live. Living within my means/expenses lower then income. Saving. Investing. Progressing in life & towards and early retirement.

Honestly man life is good. At 36 I can honestly say I've made it. Nearly all of my goals are achieved. Own literally everything I set out to owning when I was in my early 20s.

My new life goals are pretty simple. I want a second house on a lake/river. I want a second motorcycle. And I want a second boat.




I can and shall have these things. I'm just waiting for the right time/the right deals. First and foremost I'm shopping for land to build a second house. Everything is on hold until I get that land secured.

Own three cash flowing rental properties plus my own house in a HCOL all with low fixed rate interest

Also have a steady W2 job that’s relatively recession proof

That said 90% of us are still only one major life event away from financial ruin. Myself included

Just got my offer accepted on another acquisition that will really take things to the next level

Just need to survive 2024..

have about 80-100k in equity in my condo and have 90k in cash/stocks

aiming to save about 60k/year

im 28 so cant complain (although these are in beaver bucks)

Doing well at 36, Own 2 homes (One has 190K mortgage at 2.3%) 2 vehicles, 2 boats. Nice investment portfolio, 25k for emergencies. No debt other than the mortgage.

28, debt free, ~$80k liquid, another $80k in post-tax roth retirement, paid off car worth about $15k. Rentcel though. Trying to build a down payment maybe in the next few months, or otherwise 2025.

I feel pretty good. I could survive about 2 years without any income, and without touching my retirement accounts, if I got fired.

Could be better, has been much worse. My base is $107 and my wife makes just over $40. I will have a pension when I retire. I have some savings and a few grand cash on hand for emergency. Not ballin but I have enough to be able to afford any emergency that pops up and I don't have to worry about a 401k collapsing.

Main Employment: £90k/yr
Rental: £6k/yr
Side Business: 6k/yr

Saving 2K per month in cash ISA.
14k in emergency fund.
Own house, where the mortgage is 4.5% of gross salary
Buy £150/mo of shares in my company where i get 1 free share for every 2 purchased; money taken out of gross salary.
15% of gross salary in my pension every month 6% from me 9% from employer.

My income went way up this year. All that's meant is now:

>Emergencies and bills get taken care of and paid off immediately instead of 6-12 months.
>If wife needs)wants something, much harder to say "no."
>$3k in vet bills doesn't sink us into debt
>Still hard AF to squirrel away any money

Have to come up with a way to save money. It's not like I went out and bought a new car and blow all my money to the club, and yet I'm right exactly where I was last year when I was making $35k less a year. I guess being out of debt and staying out is nice, and probably worth more than it feels, but damn still have nothing to show for it.
