Out of these two, I'd go with the Supra. The 2 series looks like a shoe box IMO.

Check out the Nissan Z and Jaguar XKR-S tho.

The new Z has a 400hp turbo V6 engine, fantastic if you ask me, and it's a true Nissan engine, not some cross-brand deal like the Supra.

The F-type is what you want from Jaguar, XKR is their old sport coupe before it.

5.0 Mustang mogs both. Those look like cars i'd buy for my wife. 5.0's are the performance buy of the decade honestly... a 2015 GT can be had for under 25k.

Definitely the Supra for the exotic factor.

But srs, only $48K for the Supra? That's pennies for such a rare car. Something must be seriously wrong with it.

Son, I am disappoint in the misc car phgts..

Supra isnt terrible, but I agree its overpriced for what it is- and it comes with fake engine noise in the cabin, however, its exactly what youd expect- small wheel base = nimble and peppy with the turbo

same engine so really boils down to do you want awd or no because the supra only comes in rwd i think. also which one you like the look of more, imo new supra looks stupid.

why even bother with an m240 though? you can find a good used m4 for that price.

If he goes Mustang, he might as well Gen 3 Coyote. I just got done looking at Mustangs 10 minutes ago, you can pick up a 2022 GT for $35k.

If Op is dead set on BMW, I think the M340i would be better.

A proven engine too, a tune and bolt ons can net 500whp. Not sure how much the engine can handle stock, I've read 800whp.

I'm curious to how it stakes up against the competition.

I'd sit in the Z and really think about it in terms of comfort.

Every Nissan is made for people 5'10 and under. Even the full size sedans. I went with my S2000 because it had waaaay more space than the 350z did, even though it was smaller.

Get a used R35 instead. If you want a "fun" car, I would go supra out of those two just for the fact that it's RWD. The AWD beam you probs won't get slideways.

2 years ago I found a 2016 BMW 3 series with 35K miles for $21,000. I absolutely love it and want to run it into the ground.

I had a 2016 MINI Cooper S and it was so bumpy it hurt my neck, but I sold that for $16,000!!! That's because used cars were so hard to find.

After reading the OP I'm glad I made this decision as I couldn't afford to pay double for a fun ride.

For $50k (less than that actually) you can get a sick low mileage JDM Supra from the 1990s. You can probably even get one imported from Japan and have money left over to bribe the DMV Shaniqua into letting you register it in the states. And from there it will not go down in value. Those two cars you posted will be selling in the $20ks in a few years.

Fuark, was gonna say the 240i, but i had forgotten how ugly BMW have made many of their latest generation of cars. Something like a 2018 M2 would be my preference if i found one, or last gen 240i, the previous gen 2 series is much better looking imo.

LOL at thinking you can sniff, let alone buy, a R35 for $50k. Assuming that's op budget. If he did get a R35, it'll be high mileage and beat to chit.

This is wrong. I'm not sure about the V8, but their inline 6 engines are monsters and reliable. BMW used all their experience from the N54 and N55 to build a solid motor in the B58/S55.
