Its a bad shot regardless. There was no immediate threat, she had not actually destroyed/broken anything, and no weapons.

They should have started shooting capital attackers (people climbing walls, breaking windows, breaking through doors, etc) sooner / it would have made the event much smaller with maybe a few people trying to enter - instead of a bunch of innocent protestors walking in thinking it's okay - to be prosecuted later.

Agreed. Chauvin shouldn't have been found guilty, and if the races were reversed this guy would have already been found hanging in his cell, even though the end result IMO would have been the same "play stupid games" on whoever jumped through the window.

The city proper is heavily policed. It started peaceful (city police escorting protestors onto the premises, but as you can see from the videos it clearly got out of control.

Lol @ warnings, sugarfoot. He gave her several commands, but the real warning was the House Chamber doors being barricaded. Any retard can figure out that their ascent to reach actual Congressional members had hit a goldmine when they got to those barricaded doors.

There were even like 3 cops standing in their way that one of the Trumpers tried sweet-talking them into getting out of the way. I won't blame you for getting on the cops that got out of the way for whatever reason they did, but a literal retard should have been able to figure out that secret service were there behind those chamber doors.

If she was too stupid to figure that out, the Trumpers (i.e., people she could trust) were yelling that guns were drawn. She didn't didn't care. She thought they wouldn't fire upon her for some dumb reason.

It's actually an embarrassment to the human race that you'd rather look like complete dumb stupid motherfukker than admit she fukked around and found out because you've got an orange dildo peeking out your throat.

Even from reading these forums here, I can tell that you're at least smart enough that you wouldn't have jumped through that window, yet you're retarded enough that you will make excuses for her doing it.

Lmao. The immediate threat and weapons was the mob behind her. If they don't make a stand, then the rest will come through and then they're in a tough spot.

And guess what? It worked. Once she got pegged, every dumb motherfukker stopped trying to get into the House Chambers. You ever notice not a single member of Congress said it was a bad shoot? That's because they want their secret service detail to actually protect their lives.

Did you read this? The deadly force text is identical to the standard required for anybody in the US.
Real-Life Scenarios including Potential Consequences
The use of deadly force is the most serious decision an individual may ever have to make.
Deadly force applied by security personnel is force that creates a substantial risk of
causing death or serious bodily injury. The decision to use deadly force to defend against
an imminent threat of death or serious bodily injury to the individual or to another person
is guided by federal case law and California state law.
Serious bodily harm or injury means a serious impairment of physical condition, including,
but not limited to, the following: loss of consciousness, concussion, bone fracture,
protracted loss or impairment of function of any bodily member or organ, a wound
requiring extensive suturing, and serious disfigurement. (Penal Code Section 243(f)(4)
effective January 1, 2016.)
Reasonable necessity means that delay in apprehension would create substantial and
unreasonable risk to the individual or others possibly resulting in serious physical injury
or death.
Imminent: A threat of death or serious injury is “imminent” when, based upon the totality
of the circumstances, a reasonable individual in the same situation would believe that a
person has the present ability, opportunity, and apparent intent to immediately cause
death or serious bodily injury to the security guard or another person. Imminent harm is
not merely a fear of future harm, no matter how great the fear and no matter how great
the likelihood of the harm, but is one that, from appearances, must be instantly confronted
and addressed. (Penal Code Section 835a(e)(2) effective January 1, 2020.)
According to the law, fear alone does not justify the use of deadly force. The courts have
held that:
o A simple statement of fear for your safety is not enough; there must be objective
factors to justify your concern.
o It must be objectively reasonable.
o It must be based on the facts and circumstances known to the officer at the time.

My view of this is if this had been an ANFITA member doing the same thing, I don't think any of us would have an issue with the person being shot. Now one could argue that in general, an ANTIFA member may be more willing to commit violence compared to someone like Babbitt, but that is really nitpicking.

Do I think she should have been shot, and not just shot but shot with a kill shot? No. I think a couple of warning shots would have accomplished the same thing imo.

My big issue with it is we have seen BLM and ANTIFA literally attacking govt buildings, police precincts, citizens etc, and I can't recall any of them being shot. Let alone shot and killed. And yet the one time we have some right wing people doing something similar, the bullets come flying. I think this has more to do with how left protestors are treated compared to right protestors. One side is treated with kid gloves, and one side is treated with an almost iron fist mentality.

Well, this proves you're not a gun owner. You don't fire warning shots and risk injuring other people and not stopping the threat. You sound like Joe Biden except worse, LMFAO.

BLM knows how to push boundaries, but when they reached the governor's building in Minnesota and saw the fortress of police, they knew they would be waxed in a heartbeat and so they didn't do shiit.

But the biggest piece of the puzzle that you're apparently too retarded to figure out is there were members of Congress 50 feet away. It doesn't matter which affiliation - anyone who crossed that barricaded door was getting waxed because Congressional members were being guarded, not buildings.

None of that has anything to do with mutual exclusivity. Stay on topic plz.

If "everyone knew it was gonna go bad" sounds like the outcome matches what was expected.

No idea if that's true or not and it wouldn't surprise me if it were, but I don't see how that is relevant to her jumping through that window when it was clear as day nothing good for her would come from it.

Yes, the people who got unruly, are responsible for their own actions. Hopefully, you can at least be honest enough to admit there's a pretty significant difference between said unruly ones (hold them accountable for their actions) vs people who were simply present and yet have been treated like major criminals.

Which is part of why I don't understand all of this pearl clutching and deference about the whole thing. People at least taking their grievances to the actual politicians (God forbid, it's hallowed ground!) vs people going around and destroying private property/businesses/etc. Somehow the latter is perfectly fine.

I am a gun owner actually. So is my wife. I just didn't think that the situation warranted her being shot and killed. She wasn't armed. She was a woman. She wasn't actively attacking anyone. A shot or 2 into the air would have accomplished the same thing. And I would say the same even if it was a leftist who was doing what she was.

I understand there were members of congress there. Which is why a warning shot imo would have been justified. I certainly don't think anyone should have been killed over it. Which is also why I wonder if it been a black BLM member doing the same as she was? Would that BLM member have been shot?

I have my doubts.

Holy shiit. You're a gunowner and advocate for shooting "in the air" inside a crowded building. You should have all your firearms immediately confiscated.

You are fvking wetarded. You obviously choose to parrot your democrat overloads instead of watching the footage for yourself.

This.

Ashely pulled the guy down that broke the window to stop him from going in. She jumped up to block others. Not to enter. She was unarmed, not a threat, and given no warning. She wasn't even through the window, or else she would have fallen forward, not backward. The policeman ****ed up big time and deserves to be held accountable.

I didn't see it, but does simply watching = "eagerly watching it go down"? With that being said, I didn't see it so I can't judge.

Why do we assume him "telling them to stop" (and how was he supposed to deliver this message...send out a Tweet?) and everything would magically cease? Seems like a bit of a bold assumption.

A shot in the air is certainly 99.999999999999999999999999999% less likely to kill someone rather than a direct shot into a person's head or upper body. Yet both would have the same result. People dispersing.

She didn't have a gun. She didn't have a knife. She didn't have a weapon of any sort. It wasn't like she had a gun in her hand and was trying to storm the hallway. In which case it would have been perfectly justified to shoot her.

Holy **** it blows my mind, you continually protect left wing people like your BLM woke smash and grabbers and black hoodlums. You protect that black criminal that was robbing that house and was shot by the 2 white guys in what was it....Georgia? And yet because she is a white right wing protestor? Your reaction is "sure, go ahead and shoot her".

So f'ing transparent you are.

If we ignore the recklessness of shooting randomly in buildings, a shot into a person's head or upper body is certainly 99.999999999999999999999999999% more likely to stop the threat than shooting recklessly will.

He knows this how again? Did you not see the BLM riots? Mobs of people are a weapon and a threat.

Huh? I just said this today:

The BLM riots, and especially the mayors and governors that allowed it to happen, were reprehensible acts. It's absolutely a slap in the face to all citizens of MN that once the rioters reached the governor's office, the entire building was protected by a fortress of "don't fukk with us" riot police. I mean, arm-to-arm police. They should have been deployed throughout the entire city to stop all the innocent businesses from being destroyed and let other states know it's okay to put a stop to it.

It's also irresponsible that Harris, in her Colbert interview, basically condoned these actions by not separating rioters from people peacefully protesting and calling them out strongly. She conflated rioters with peaceful protestors. This is absolutely not what someone like MLK would have done, and this appearance influenced my thoughts with regard to my vote.
