I'd probably get assassinated to be honest.

Day 1 i'd go on television with a message about how everyone will hate me for the next 4 years but everyone will love me for the next 10 years after that.

I'd work to inspire americans to work hard, this is going to be a tough one. I'd tell them all to plant a garden, and to calmly prepare. That I'm giving them 1 year to get their affairs in order because I'll be letting air out of the debt bubble.

i'd then draw up a budget that halts anything beyond 90% of the budget so cash goes up. "That'll lead to..." a crash? good. So be it. I have prepared my people.

I'd start a youtube channel constantly giving americans advice on how to manage their lifestyles to make the depression manageable.

I'd make "illegal" immigration illegal again. Withhold federal funding from states that divert any of their state budget from citizens to illegals. Hire 10k judges to clear the "asylum seeker" aka border hopper backlog. Deport every illegal stopped for anything.

To get this going I'd go on national TV and make the public offer that we can have Universal healthcare, pay off student loan debts, and set up a College Savings Plan that matches dollar for dollar up to $10k per year if and ONLY IF Dems get on board and vote the package in.
