Retards here on Misc (mostly Americans who don't like having worker's rights, PTO, healthcare and other benefits compared to their 1st world European counterparts) can never make an actual compelling argument for why capitalism has to operate in this way.
"B-but increased inflation and cost of goods" when minimum wage goes up.
When minimum wage doesn't increase, cost of goods and everything becomes more expensive anyways lmao
Something has to give rather than billionaires adding more 0s while full-time workers can barely afford a living space and everyone else gets poorer and poorer.
We're in a race to the bottom and bootlicking smoothbrains want everyone to suffer when they can't see what a chithole we're turning into with end stage capitalism at its peak

I'd rather have insurance from Starbucks vs Universal Healthcare in any European country.
And you could be 14 years old and work at a fast food restaurant, what does that tell you?

He should pay people as little as possible. When he can't get good people to show up every day he needs to up the wages a small amount until they do.
Unskilled labor does not deserve $15/hr.
Once you set that price floor that high for the lowest skilled workers you're just going to raise everyone elses salary up to compensate. No one is going to shovel ditches or pour concrete for $15/hr if they can make the same money be8ng a useless short order cook that does next to nothing all day.

That guy could not build a successful restaurant if he didn't have workers and customers. What benefits society more? Paying his workers a decent wage for the work they do, or paying them as little as possible? Which one of those mindsets will lead to a better society?

From the threads of the work from home miscers that literally say they do less than two hours of work. You also deserve to get paid minimum wage since you don't do sht either.

These are perfect jobs for the youth. 15-16... need some money for gas to take their gf out... at least that's the way it used to be. It's not fun but you learn customer service and you hopefully ignite something within to want something more. My first two jobs were warehouse at Best Buy and pizza delivery driver. Now we got grown ass people working these jobs and complaining. Truly incredible. These people have no dignity. Being the victim is the easy way to mentally justify their failures.
Compounded with this... the youth are not interested in working, from my experience. They aren't interested in driving, working, learning... working with their hands. Truly an absolutely pathetic generation we have taking over this country in a few decades. Because the clearer than the water in the Adriatic answer is right in front of everyone. There's fixing to be a massive shortage in the skilled trades in the next 10-20 years, and not nearly enough skilled younger workers to fill those shoes. Everything from ornamental iron working, to aircraft mechanics, to plumbers. It's not hard to make six figs in these jobs. But it's hard work and the current youth is allergic to it.
