Work is making me use pronouns

So I work in a pretty big company. They have recently introduced an update to email signatures that automatically state "he/him" next to my name.

I did not opt in for this, but they have done it company wide. I feel pretty annoyed by this move. How would you cope if this was your work place?

I have to delete it every time I send an email. Isn't a big deal, but I send over 30 a day which becomes annoying...

Surely this isn't right...

There has to be a way to change it. Any company that is progressive enough to force pronoun usage has to understand that you could come in tomorrow and be she/her or 168+ other identities. Just ask them how to change it to they/them then actually change it to fock/you.

Start putting a different pronoun in every email and tell them you're genderfluid

meh when I was a big company they did that chit and I never updated my signature. I also never included my phone number srs.

At my current role, 10x smaller company, I signoff with my first name and nothing else. Never followed the email sign standard and nobody has cared.

The easiest way is to just play the game.

We trade our time for money, and the email belongs to them, not you. I feel like there are way more important battles at larger organizations like various forms of wage theft and employee legal rights violations.

That is where you need to focus. Not on your little opinions and feels.

The only way any employee can counter act business decisions is with legal precedence already in place. There is no legal concern here. It is just an opinionated bitch fest.

I agree it is bull****, but that literally does not matter.

You have no leg to stand on here, just get over yourself.

If you have irreconcilable differences with the company for this, just acknowledge that and resign.

I am extremely confident these are your only productive options.

You could respectfully voice your concerns, they will be ignored. I wouldn't anticipate too much pushback after that as long as you express yourself appropriately.

If you let your emotions win, you could become close to violating EEO or harassment policies, which would make it a pretty easy decision for them to terminate you if they felt the need.

If they did it automatically, you may have grounds for a lawsuit for causing emotional damage. Talk to a lawyer and tell them you identify as they/them and how dare they misgender you. Play their own game against them

Time to identify as furry gender. Sometimes you identify as a cat, sometimes you identify more with gerbil gender. Either way your desk needs a litter box for someone else to clean up. If Susan has a problem with you squatting and slithering out a turd rope just before lunch every day, it sounds like Susan needs a few days of sensitivity and gender equity training. If she protests she needs a pink slip and to be shamed on social media.

Tell them you choose not to identify as anything. If they don't respect your wishes or bully you, hit them with a gender discrimination suit as it's none of their business what you identify as.

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session.
