Lease renewal - wut do
I’m paying $1,256 base rent for my apartment. They want me to renew my lease at the same price.
I checked on their website and they’re offering the same floor plan I have for $1,024. And they’re offering the bigger floor plan for $1,100. Wtf?
I’m thinking I’ll ask them to lower my rent and if they won’t do that I’ll just ask to transfer to one of the other units they’re offering for cheaper.

yeah I'd definitely call them on that ****. You'd think new tenants would be paying more than existing ones but it sounds like they don't care about loyalty and keeping apartments occupied.

The website might not be up to date. The one for my complex shows its managed by a company that doesnt manage it anymore.
Just ask them about the price difference.
Just ask them about the price difference.

Update - they offered to drop my rent from $1,256 to $1,156 and $500 off the first month of the new lease. Still not as good as what they’re offering for the other units but I might just take it.
