Wow, so it's the fault of the police that are understaffed.....

I guess they should be security guards for these locations? So they can catch and arrest these individuals and watch them go right back out into the streets the next morning....

Why should the cops risk their lives to arrest people the prosecutors and judges won't lock up?

What's hilarious is that All of these businesses are being hit, every single hour, of every single day. And what's his solution again? Have an officer park his car car near the location.....

There are likely a few factors at play:
-They most likely don't have the manpower to put unmarked sitting watching these hot spots.
-Their jail most likely will not hold people for these crimes. Which means if you bring them to jail. They walk out the door and are on the street again before you can even finish your report.
-Their district attorney doesn't prosecute these crimes.


You can spend 10 hours staking out Denny's. Arrest a group of dudes for smashing in windows and looting cars. Bring them to jail. And 30 minutes later they walk out the front door. And the case never gets prosecuted/brought to trial. That's the main problems in all of America's liberal hot spots. Far left district attorneys/judges/people in politics there... Police really don't have ANY power in the judicial system. When they build a case-make and arrest they are really only detaining someone for 30-60 minutes. After that, everything that happens is out of their hands.



The democratic party kind of F'd up by allowing the far left liberals to get some power/start enacting policy. In theory in a population full of highly educated, peaceful individuals their policies/ideals would likely work fine. But the world isn't filled with highly educated peaceful individuals. We've got lots of people that are basically savages, who are devolving their neighborhoods into third world status. Literally.


Unfortunately I don't believe anyone with enough balls to fix the problem will take office, and in general people are too naive enough to want the kind of measures taken to 'fix' crime. We'd likely need to build enough jails/prisons to double our incarcerated population and have police go back to old school policing tactics. I'd say a large portion of police officer's with less then 10 years on the job wouldn't even know where to start. Policing has been watered down so much.

Sounds like they are getting exactly what they voted for over there in Oakland.

They wouldn't be out in half an hr, more like the next morning, or a couple of hrs.

Also, once they make the arrest, who's going to cover the detail of sitting in that parking lot?

If it's an offender who struggles, which leads to a TRR, he/she will then maybe need to go to the hospital, or they'll play their game of "stomach pains" and a car then needs to take them to the hospital.

So you're downing a car to replace the car that was sitting in the lot, a car for the arrest, and a car to baby sit the savage.
