Reddit blows. Most communities are biased. I also got banned mistakenly permanently on a subreddit for ban evasion cause of some ban filter they use. I messaged the mods and they basically told me to get fkd. That's what happens when you give neckbeards power

Good point. I found this site by just googling information about lifting, and naturally found the misc. Google stuff about lifting now, and you'll see reddit, instagram, and tiktok whilemaybeseeing a bb.com thread pop up.

I still use the Misc, the forum for my college sports team, the forum for my sports conference, one for my truck and boxingscene. Forums are so much better than FB groups, granted I miss when they were 10 times more active. There are random surges like we fired our coach so the sports one jumped to like 2002 average traffic levels for a bit.

Good example of why it sucks is my Ram forum I use people have done countless hours, tests, labs to find best oil to use and have basically come to a singular conclusion. If you go on a Ram fb group and look at best oil threads it's just a bunch of neanderthals being like "I tell you what I just go to walmart and get that 3.99 clearance oil best stuff there is yep."

Attention spans got shorter and dopamine hits got faster. Forum posts tend to be longform with paragraphs and chit, like reading a book. It's very Web 1.0.

With ********, you don't write paragraphs, because no one's going to respond to it. You just post "FJB" or "OK boomer" and go to the next post.

With Tik Tok, you have some soy**** scream in your face for 10 seconds, then swipe to the next video. Total instant engagement. You don't have to compose or write chit.

Web 1.0 was kind of like an encyclopedia. You ever see those old school 90s webpages still stuck around, with like some gradient background and a wall of text? That was the internet, mayne. As bandwidths got high enough to host video and companies figured out what drove engagement, Web 2.0 gradually turned into something like TV. Scroll, scroll, there's pics, there's video, and you don't read chit.

Ah well. I've been on forums every day since I was literally phucking 13, and I will stay on this one until they turn the lights off. I've never really had friends and I'm a very good writer. Bulletin boards are just a hand-in-glove fit for me.

Social media 100%. Easier to post pretty much everything and share with friends. What I love about this place is that it still is the wild Wild West of the internet

Mobil 1 or gtfo crew for my Ram

Mobil 1 is good oil, but I'm Redline 5w30. More expensive but has lots of Moly which is good for Hemi's and helps with the lifter issues per research done by the forum nerds. Also the truck recommends 5w20 but the 5.7 2500's (exact same engine) recommended 5w30. Its the same engine so obviously if its expected to work 5w30 is the preferred oil by Ram, they just went 5w20 on the 1500 to get .05% mpg gain for bs EPA regs.

I used redline in my rear diff, will check it out for my upcoming oil change. I’m terrified of the lifter issue and have considered a very costly 6.4 cam swap and dialing out the cylinder deactivation but it’s costly af with the need to jail break and tune. Also heard of people using 5w30 and I have always followed the manufacturer recommendation of 5w20, should I switch to 5w30? I didn't know it was recommend for the 2500 5.7s
