What PS exclusive on Steam would you recommend to a PC gamer to get them into PS
Should I try horizon zero dawn ? Spider man ? Helldivers 2 ? Last of us part 1 ?
If you had to convince a primarily PC/steam deck gamer on Sony titles, which game would be the first for them to try ?

TLOU 1 is maybe the best exclusive they've ever released. Of the more recent games I'd suggest Returnal which I think is their best game since 2020.

Horizon Zero Dawn. The graphics are PS4 tier but it's a fantastic story and world to get immersed in. Forbidden West is coming out very soon on PC with far better graphics and gameplay but you can't play it without playing Zero Dawn first due to major story reasons.

Days Gone and Horizon did nothing for me as well, even TLOU1 and Uncharted 4 never really did it for me. I think Uncharted 1-3 was probably the only time I really enjoyed their cinematic 3'rd person action games.
Spiderman is okay but also feels like an open world Ubisoft title. You know the type, good looking graphics and big open world but it all feels so boring after a while with lots of QTE combat.

Probably nothing tbh, like you said many times. Sony games are cinematic games with no gameplay.

1 - The 3'rd person cinematic action titles, basically the "oscar bait" of the gaming industry. Video games that take themselves very seriously where it's all about the graphics, story, and presentation, meant to win awards and high praise from video games journalists.
2 - The 3'rd person open world action games. These always look and feel very similar to Ubisoft's signature open world games, basically the closest thing to them. Big open worlds, beautiful to look at, but eventually just kinda soulless, repetitive, and boring. Games where they really want you to put a ton of time into them, with lots of side quests and collectable goals, with combat that seems to revolve around stealth action and QTE sequences.
Heck sometimes these two can run together, as they often do now (I think the recent GOW games can feel like that.) I think that's also why Sony games can feel like they're always the same sort of experience after a while, because they sort of are. Like there is definitely a specific formula that they really stick to.

God of War 1-3
Killzone series
Bloodborne
Gran Turismo 7
Shadow of the Colossus
The Last of Us is decent, it plays on rails so you can pretty much switch your brain off and just play through the story.
You might like Horizon Zero Dawn if you're a massive Assassin's Creed fan... but you might as well just play Assassins Creed Origins or Odyssey if you haven't already.
I've not played the other games you mentioned so can't say/

It was an average boring ass open world map icon game, but I did enjoy the ghosts of tshumina multiplayer as I'm a looter shooter fan. Pity there wasn't many levels though.
It's been so long since I tried it, I think I played the PS4 disc but it had a 60fps patch for PS5 ?
Edit: and by God of war being a snooze fest I mean those stupid puzzles every 5 minutes I had to solve my throwing my axe or whatever at certain points. I enjoyed the epic opening of the game but every time I got to a stupid puzzle it slowly turned me off the game until I never played it again. Maybe PC mods could let me skip puzzles.

Heck I could argue that there was some stuff that I liked in the early days of the PS4, back when they were willing to carry on some stuff from the PS3 scene, but even then it just didn't seem to hold up. Like Driveclub was cool, but I preferred the Motorstorm titles. Killzone Shadow Fall wasn't bad, but I was never a big fan of the franchise, and the earlier games seemed better. GT Sport was nice, but GT6 was still the complete original GT experience by comparison. Then I guess they really focused on all the hype surrounding games like TLOU and cinematic gaming became the big focus, by high praise from the journalists and fanboys. That's basically when they lost me, I mean I still bought and played a lot of their hyped up exclusive titles, but they just never really did anything for me. By now it's like I don't really have much to reference in the way of Sony games that stood out to me for a long time, because it's been about a decade since they were making games that really appealed to me, with GT7 being the exception.Do you ever do anything but console wars ?

I think of them the same way I think of the Marvel movie scene these days. Lots of people seem to love them, like you will find a lot of enthusiastic fans on the internet who claim they're amazing and among the best entertainment around, and they get high praise from critics, but that's really just a fanboy and brand/corporate promotion scene when you get down to it. Like the more you are into movies, the less likely you are to consider Marvel flicks among the best movies to watch. They just have a lot of visual flair and mass appeal. That and they really stick to a specific formula that is easily digestible but can get old, repetitive, and predictable after a while.

I know the 2012 thing is kind of an EOD meme but it's true.
2012 is when Internet and everyone having smart phones went mainstream, and humanity devolved into a hive mind of sorts, where majority of people just bandwagon for the mainstream opinion on literally every topic, and people have lost their sense of identity and individualism.
Hell, I got my first smart phone in 2012 and ever since I've been addicted to technology and 90% of my day is looking at some kind of screen, whether it be phone, tv, handhelds

You can't really count GTA 5 either because Rockstar only makes a couple games and they are always good. Everything else though is lacking something. I mean hell there's a couple WWE 2k games on the front page now and i don't even know how to reply to them. It's the same game but with slightly better graphics each year.
I think these people could make better games they just don't know how. I mean they still take risks and put out **** like Saints Row they should be able to make other stuff.
