Yeah the yearly sports games are a real joke but then again I feel like the racing genre has been hit by that somewhat as well. It's funny how in an era when they're so pushy about live services as these games they can just update forever, they still do the yearly new release for sports games. So much of the game buying public these days is just sucker consumers, people whose life seems to revolve around keeping up with the latest popular things.

All my old friends have families and careers, as do I, so I prefer to play games online by myself, it's a pain trying to organize friends to play games together.

Yeah I man it's such a mess trying to get everyone together at the same time, people always have things come up, wife or kids get in the way, job taking up most of their time and energy or whatever, it's like nobody besides the total losers has free time often just to get together and play video games.

Heck I know I just like to play games when I am in the mood, whenever that might be. I don't want to be dealing with getting together with anyone just to game.

I have all of these (no kids)

And I just simply text my homies in the group chat and see who's around and when. Sometimes it lines up and we play, sometimes it doesn't. We usually play a bit on Sundays since we all share that common day off.

You two retards act like you're the only people with busy lives lmao. It's really not hard to text a bro or a group chat and be like "yo I'll be on tonight around 8 for a bit if anyone wants to play"

What it seems more like, is that you are insufferable and people haven't kept in touch with you over the years. I've been gaming with the some of the same bros since Xbox 360. We've lost a few, we've gained a few others. But we still make the effort to get together and play even if it's once or twice a month.

It takes very little effort to maintain adult friendships since we all know we are all busy and don't hold it against eachother. We do what we can, when we can.

The kinda guys who still get together with buddies to play video games all the time well into their adult years remind me of the type of dudes who still try to do the whole frat boy partying thing well into their adult years.

It's like it's cool if you're a young 20 something, but if you're well into 30's+, you should really have more going on in your life. Reminds me of Bam Margera, the dude never grew up really, tried to live like a 20 something partier forever, and now look at him. All the successful guys from his crew are the ones who grew up, got a family, a career, and moved on. You don't want to be a Bam.

I have old friends I see a handful of times a year, but as a family man most of my interactions with others outside of work are

-mixel martial arts acquaintances, people who I actually have interests in common with
-extended family at family events

I rarely game with my old "friends" due to us all having busy life's like I said. And I'd prefer to play a game im interested in than something like Fifa which is all they seem to play.

Just lol if your "friends" from school or highschool are still people you can relate to. It's actually sad when people never progress in life and still are the same people they were in their late teens/early 20s

If I ever get together with an old friend in a video game it's just a once in a blue moon sort of thing where we don't even really give a chit about the game we're playing or take it seriously, we'll just chat the whole time and dick around in some game while we do it.

Yeah it's true though, most of my old friends are totally different people now than they were back when we would hang out all time. Heck most of them hardly ever play video games anymore.
