Favorite Dragon Ball of the series?

Grew up on DBZ and watched it entirely. Watched the beginning of GT & Super, but never anything more than that. Perhaps 30 eps of GT and 15-25 of Super, long ago. I love the pre 2000s nostalgia GT gave me & the updated visuals of Super (especially the food lmao. let's not forget the houses.)

What's your favorite & do you mind sharing why?

Of the original 3 series I preferred DBZ by far and watched it from beginning to end. Thought DBGT was decent and didn't watch much of DB.

I watched bits and pieces of most arcs in DB Super but only watched a substantial portion of the Tournament of Power arc.

DBZ for sure. That arc where you got Gohan grown up and they have the tournament just before Buu comes in is all kinds of fun tbh

DBZ mainly cause I grew up watching it. GT had some cool concepts but the "everyone is a kid" thing was meh.

Super is neat but waiting 35 years for each season ugh.

For anyone that hasn't seen DBZ Abridged, you're doing yourself a disservice. It's a parody of DBZ and hilarious.

The pacing of DBZ was way off, and Kai didn't sit right with me.

Super has like...one great moment. Trunks' rage after the gods blame him for messing up the timelines repeatedly, resulting in that disastrous future. That's about it.

I like the original dragonball it was more crude and I like when goku was a kid and didn't know anything about the world or his own strength
then I also like dbz for it's old gritty art style and because that's when goku was the most bulky and shredded when he went super saiyan
and I like super for the newer sharper more colorful art style

Regular DBZ for me. If I had to pick a saga I'd lean into Cell Saga, but Freeza Saga is a close 2nd to me. I saw GT and Super too btw, only watched a little of Dragon Ball. Sagas aside, the episodes of Majin Vegeta were my favorite, and I tend to like a lot of the tournament oriented episodes.

As far as movies, my #1 is Lord Slug, my #2 is The Tree of Might.

^^^ these brahs know whats up - og dragonball the was best. i love all the series for their own reasons but the one that has the fondest place in my heart by far is the original db. a true epic adventure story. favorite arc's by far were the tenkaichi budokai, was culmination of all the lessons learned and skills developed through the journeys gone on. greatest coming of age anime.

i liked GT too because it felt like a real spiritual successor to the original db style of an adventure story with fighting, which makes sense since it's called 'grand tour' but the stories themselves never felt as compelling as the original.

the fact that its a series still bringing new content with Super is awesome, and im really grateful to be able to see new episodes of a show that i grew up watching as an 'old' anime. ive seen all the series' and their movies and the first and only time that i ever jumped up out of my chair in exclamation of something happening in the show was when goku ultra instinct kamehameha dunked on kefla during the tournament of power

the super dragonball heroes miniseries has been fun too, though it almost feels like its a distillation of what the franchise itself is boiling down to with endless matchups and irrelevant storyline.

GT and Z. Super started out good, but now it's fuking garbage. Should have just ended when the anime ended.
