Look, I know one guy that's made a ****load off crypto. That said, he works in mining and makes ****load anyway so has loads of capital. Seems like every time he's on an off week he's playing the pokies/at the casino and winning a few grand as well. Just a lucky guy

Your friend withdrew his funds and didn’t send the form to IRS??? If you don’t send anything back to your bank from your brokerage, you don’t have to pay anything, a tax attorney told me. Unrealized gains are not taxed, are they? Even if your friend sold his bitcoin, but kept cash in the brokerage, still doesn’t have to pay tax.

Why would he do that? Just borrow against your portfolio.

I also think you got somewhat confused. You said crypto didn’t take off? Did you miss the part where bitcoin is statistically THE #1 investment of all time? Returning more than tesla, more than apple, more that amazon, more than any other investment ever in history of human race? What do you mean “take off” ?

He was using the coin to pay things like mortgage & normal expenses; all earned income in the US is taxable whether you spend it or not, just like property


Coin has taken off, in very short bursts, but just like stock it moves up and down; which is why we call it memecoin; it's not the same thing as having cash

Currently it's cheaper to outright purchase bitcoins than it is to mine them

Those stocks have been split so many times, I wouldn't really call them undervalued. I believe Amazon was a 3k just a few years ago, probably would be 5k+ without all the splits. (Super Ded fkn Srs)
