No vaccine can directly stop spread. Large groups of vaccinated people do because vaccines lower your susceptibility.

I'm perfectly fine with this position, although not sure I would be completely on board with it (esp that last sentence).

My beef is how the vaccines were sold in the day and how truthful statements, or even one as benign as what you just said, were widely censored. Right now, we can openly talk about it and nobody blinks an eyelid over the statement about vaccines not stopping covid or not being 100%, but in the moment that statement would have had consequences.

All I remember reading about the vax is that it was supposed to minimize hospital time if you got covid and likely would prevent death or serious illness. It was never supposed to prevent catching covid or stop it. I'm vexed, not boosted, and when I caught covid, I had no symptoms. I only knew I had it because I was tested prior to a medical procedure

Correct me if I'm wrong. But the amazing MRNA vaxxes (thanks Trump!) were 92%+ effective after two jabs of acquiring covid. The same protection provided by most vaccines.

So if everyone had gotten two jabs and the virus had not mutated, the jabs would have been able to statistically stomp out covid.
