Are you saying that the vaccine prevented Covid19 at that time, but not at a point in time after that?
Still lulzy tho

You said they "sold" it as preventing transmission.

So if everyone had gotten two jabs and the virus had not mutated, the jabs would have been able to statistically stomp out covid.
The virus mutating and anti-vaxxers gave the virus the breeding ground necessary to spread.
Is the above not correct boyos?

Do you have an 8% of getting covid if you are vaccinated? Compared to what if you're not? They don't keep you from getting it at all, really. Only for a limited time, I presume while you're flush with the antibodies they create, if you get it those antibodies help you recover quicker. Less chance of death, hospitalization, etc, recover quicker and such.
So, a real benefit, I'm not saying otherwise. I just never saw them sold as such *in the moment*.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Similar vaccine efficacy (generally 90 to 100%) was observed across subgroups defined by age, sex, race, ethnicity, baseline body-mass index, and the presence of coexisting conditions. Among 10 cases of severe Covid-19 with onset after the first dose, 9 occurred in placebo recipients and 1 in a BNT162b2 recipient. The safety profile of BNT162b2 was characterized by short-term, mild-to-moderate pain at the injection site, fatigue, and headache. The incidence of serious adverse events was low and was similar in the vaccine and placebo groups."They played around with the percentages. Do you feel absolute risk reduction is all that matters in a public health context?
