Texas banning porn is great. Hopefully becomes a national thing.

People have agreed to trade privacy for convenience as I already mentioned earlier in this thread and can go into great detail on the matter if you’d like. There are exactly zero things they get from having you verify your age on a pron site that they don’t already have.
When did I say that?? Or is it easier to just pull things out of your ass? Obviously there are a lot of issues with online presence and we have done a terrible job of keeping up with implementing measures to minimize harm to children and teens. Do you disagree with policies that attempt to reduce the amount of gore children are exposed to? Do you oppose measures intended to combat predators? Or do you just go “omg those aren’t the only dangers online!!”?

“We” have not done a terrible job of anything. Those parents have. If a parent needs restrictions on businesses(for something that is already illegal)because they can’t or won’t keep their own kids safe they need to reevaluate themselves.

Again, is this the same approach you have when a teenager is ID’d when attempting to buy beer?? I mean, the parents should track them at all times and make sure they aren’t at the store trying to buy beer, correct?

I would not be IDed, Dogorman7 would not be IDed to buy beer. Not sure why you keep using that as an example...
(Sorry to bring you into this Dogorman7-I'm trying to make a point here)

You’re talking about LexusNexus and that’s all information recovered by things already connected to you like previous addresses or auto insurance information that’s sold to advertising corporations and insurance companies
LexusNexus may sometimes release information about you to a govt entity when they’re conducting a criminal investigation but there’s not some dude at the FBI or NSA sitting there monitoring who watches what on Pornhub or youtube
Websites will store site traffic IPs and sell it to 3rd parties so you get a lot of ads related to the websites you visit but that’s about it when it comes to the everyday stuff you consume
Even the data that the govt could get their hands on is can be difficult to get and they would have to comb through trillions of GBs of data to find what you did on a website unless they have a super specific time or date or the website is already under watch by the FBI
None of this matters though

banning things you don't like seems very... liberal. hardly surprising that cuckservative jon supports this
porn and prostitution should both be legal everywhere, in addition to many other things

So yeah I guess they're banning minors from watching it. Minors are not allowed to do a lot of things, though.

Sure there isn’t people manually monitoring what you’re going to, but that information is already gathered, stored, and owned by various entities. And they can rapidly identify who it is if they want to. All of that information exists somewhere because we have, for the most part, forfeited privacy. It’s basically an illusion at this point. Again, you can go a long way towards minimizing your digital footprint but it requires a decent amount of effort and has to be an ongoing process. It will also make things a LOT less convenient for you.

Lold at thinking apps don’t have access to your browsing data if you use a vpn. And if you’re speaking solely about the ability to bypass security controls, again there are ways to identify use of vpns(and that technology is already being used in other ways) which could make that workaround less likely.

Your data is sold but not to the state or most forms of govt
The only govt entities it’s sold to are LE agencies in the event of a criminal investigation so you have to give them a reason to track your online activity
Corporations have the right to be sold your online data because it’s part of the licensing and user agreements you click agree to
On most websites or social media it’s one of the first things they have you agree to
the federal , state or local government has no business having your pornhub usage that will surely be abused in some way when you link your SSN or Drivers license to “Hot Latina Milf Squirts” videos

All the information linked to your SSN and DL is available to the government without any 3rd party intervention
That’s the whole point of both of those forms of ID

As a Texan, I couldn't be more proud. Need to lock down all porn and have legit age verification. This **** is poison for our children.

To which I replied: “ Using a drivers license number or social security number to identify yourself on a website does not automatically give the govt. the right to any information on that website or any information owned by that website.”
He seems to think that simply putting that information on a website allows the govt. to access it. That isn’t true. So his claim that the govt. gets access to all information linked to your SSN and DL #s without 3rd party intervention is a lie. The same hoops he says they have to jump through now to access the information will still be in place if a person enters their DL number.
