FDA Settles Ivermectin Case, Agrees To Remove Controversial 'Stop It' Post

Trigger Warning:Right-wing news outlet

I did try to source this from a more neutral news site, could not find one. All Epoch Times or Zerohedge, so if that is a problem then okay. No need to get irate or obnoxious about it, although if you can source somehow this is untrue that would be great.

Yeah.

I could only find right wing outlets to talk about this -- which, I am not trying to say right wing sources are any paragons of truth or integrity, just that the MSM won't touch this story, which appears to be truthful but disrupts the narrative they were all too complicit in crafting back in the day.

Almost as if it's hard to know what's going on in the world, if you only listen to a single source of information and instantly dismiss all others?

edit: And to be clear, goes both ways. I don't expect to get fair, if any, coverage of Kushner being involved in shady ass deals with SA from Epoch Times, etc...

An Asian friend told me that in his home country, they do a yearly de worning process using ivermectin because of foods and raw fish being tainted with pests.

As for here, now in 2024, I am not sure how popular this stuff is anymore as 90% of the folks that I know( R and D) stopped talking about COVID-19.

Maybe not, but the narrative it is dangerous and killing people or that it's horse medicine, the one the MSM and so-called health officials colluded with Government to demand, and anyone who said it wasn't dangerous was silenced/censored, that narrative has collapsed.

Which is why when a doctor wrote a prescription for it to their HUMAN patient you refused to fill it…

Despite the fact that it is known to be extremely safe and an effective treatment in helping with tons of different viruses.

I strongly disagree and consider attempts to say what you just did as gaslighting, trying to walk back what it was.

No, they never said, "Ivermectin may or may not work and nothing shows that it does, please only use it with a prescription" and left it at that. Never did that -- they said it was all horse medicine, they mocked people like Joe Rogan who got a prescription for it, many pharmacies would not honor the (Doctor prescribed human-grade) prescriptions for it and such. Anyone who figured it didn't hurt, might as well try human-grade ivermectin, they were attacked, censored, silenced and/or demonized.

Just say what it was and be fair. You can think some people jumped to wild conclusions about it working curing covid. Yes, many people did and I won't knock that opinion but don't try and pretend that the other side of the coin did not completely and utterly overstep things and took a very authoritarian stance on it, either.

btw, on the animal grade stuff, while I do not recommend anyone take anything meant for beasts, it's not like here at bb.com some guys haven't stuck needles in their butt taken from a bottle with a chicken on it or anything. Other than taking way too much, it's not like it was some horrible terrible death-sentence health risk that needed a hard shutdown with collusion from Government, media, entertainment and such to crack down on like it was crack that gave you AIDS, either.

Always on spread from quality post like this.

And the same people like Robo, refused to fill prescriptions for something with an extensive history of being used safely and effectively billions of times to treat viral infections….while also telling people to get injected with a drug which had no long term studies in a form that has never been used to safely and effectively deliver any kind of treatment(and in a form known to introduce many risks).

Makes sense now, you blindly do what daddy government tells you to do. And then throw in some gaslighting for good measure.

Why You Should Not Use Ivermectin to Treat or Prevent COVID-19

And concerning this settlement, the FDA just didn't think it was worth the expense to fight just to keep four years old posts up.

None of this changes the FDA's position concerning using Ivermectin to treat Covid.

The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19 in humans or animals. Ivermectin is approved for human use to treat infections caused by some parasitic worms and head lice and skin conditions like rosacea.
Currently available data do not show ivermectin is effective against COVID-19. Clinical trials assessing ivermectin tablets for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in people are ongoing.
Taking large doses of ivermectin is dangerous.
If your health care provider writes you an ivermectin prescription, fill it through a legitimate source such as a pharmacy, and take it exactly as prescribed.
Never use medications intended for animals on yourself or other people. Animal ivermectin products are very different from those approved for humans. Use of animal ivermectin for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in humans is dangerous.
Already stated this, and not saying you presumed otherwise, but just re-stating for clarity: I have no issue with these recommendations.

What bothered me was the organized propaganda against Ivermectin. Not that it had not been shown to be effective, or that you should only use human-grade drugs, that only take it with prescriptions, etc... that is all fine, well and good.

It's this kind of thing, also from the FDA:

Or the attacks on Joe Rogan, who only took it as part of a litany of safe doctor-prescribed drugs (and infuriated CNN by recovering quickly), where they doctored photos of him looking sickly, ran stories propagandizing against him - and everyone else who contributed to a narrative that ivermectin was not safe, was for animals and where pharmacies wouldn't even fill doctor's prescriptions for it.

I don't know how apart someone like you, r0bo or JLC even are from this stance, I don't think all that much, beyond not thinking it's as important or as big a deal as I do. Which is fine. You don't have to, no more than I need to get up in arms about specific problems you might care more about. I don't think any of you are vegan or big animal right activists, but let's say someone is: I don't have to feel as passionately about their cause as they do and give up meat, but at the same time I can see footage of what goes on in slaughterhouses and find common ground that it's immoral.

It's okay to find common ground with people, it's the first step to any solution. Not that any of us are going to solve anything, but at the least it might help us understand things from each other's perspectives more. Versus going out of our way to ensure we find no common ground with someone we disagree with.

Evidence suggests improved outcomes for pregnant women who receive covid vaccines. Evidence also suggests priming a child's naive immune system is beneficial.

That's the case for most routine vaccines.
