I never played either, but my understanding is Nioh is more hardcore soulslike while Ronin is a lot more normie friendly which helps me. I cant do harcore soulslike

This. Its not as hardcore as Nioh but the combat is similar from my understanding. Seems like the combat is the best part about this game from what i understand. Theres a good review from Gameranx on youtube id recommend if you guys wanna know what this game is about. It will do fairly well. Its not a flop. Just dont dont like soulsborne games myself

this is accurate, it captures the awesome feeling of the combat from nioh and wo long without the annoying af over difficult bs of souls like games

I like the simplistic open world. Reminds me of the PS2 way of the samurai games where you have simple choices to make.

Every preview and review I hear on this game (and I just listened to another on my hike this morning) says it's "good". Above average combat, but very mid story and world, with bad graphics. Guess this will hit for you if you are looking for this type of game but will probably miss if not. I have heard so many Ghost of Tsushima comparisons for obvious reasons which say GoT is leaps and bounds a better game in nearly every category. I feel blessed to be playing GoT for the first time right now, and I'll probably play it through a 2nd time on NG+ on the hardest difficulty before playing Rise of the Ronin.

The Misery Loves Company Crew will tell you 2024 will be a horrible year for games, and tell you 2023 was as well. JLoL. Some people need to find a new hobby or a rope. We are just a few months into this year and have 13 games with a meta of 85 or higher, 4 of those 90+. What a time to be alive.
