I was accidentally racist today.

Some black lady was pissing me off at work because she didn’t have basic common sense understanding of how to use a computer.

She was sharing her screen and it went to her desktop which was a picture of her kids and I realized after I did it that I muttered “straight out of the jungle” under my breath. I had my mic on too but fortunately, I think one of the common sense things she missed was having the audio on and she didn’t hear.

That’s the problem with these kind of thoughts, accidents always happen where you blurt out something you shouldn’t.

Another situation was, I accidentally told a family friend her 30+ year old daughter was at risk of making a low quality baby because of her age. I have no idea why I blurted out something that offensive, my brain just did it.

One time I told my 40 year old Asian female coworker “wow you’re twice my age, almost as old as my mom.” She was so offended and I didn’t even mean it that way, I was just surprised because everyone else on our team was in their 20s.
