Agree OP, I legit have gone to subreddits to try get technical help or advice on various topics (what should be the perfect use-case for them), spent time writing up detailed posts, hit submit and then it just gets removed by mods. Or auto-removed because I don't have enough "flair", but never warned me about flair before posting.

I dont think thats actually a person but they use bots or automation to cipher stuff out.
I know most of the bodybuilding or fitness forums on there are really strict. You need to have a certain join date, karma, post count or its auto deleted or if the message is too short, has certain words or something.

Most of the subreddits are modded by the same handful of people. They don't have any genuine interest in the topics but they work their way into getting mod powers just so they can abuse them to push their agendas.

I used to think sticking to hobby subreddits and whatnot was safe enough, but ended up ethered even there when I posted something that went against the hive mind. Thereโ€™s definitely something wrong with that, we disagree here all the time, your posts and threads donโ€™t get deleted/hidden over it.

Reddit has always been awful. Only reason it got popular was because the creators were posting a bunch of fake comments with an army of bots. It was basically the original bot fueled social media space. It's popularity has always been manufactured. The only decent person who was a part of it's creation was killed as well, the other two guys who took it over are a real piece of chit.
