Smoothest landing of all time dawg.

Today I sold my entire Kroger position. $60c at $73-68 and $55c at $1.99. I think total gain was around $4,000 and profits somewhere between 166-200%. I’ll try and check once everything settles tonight. News that the court suit is pushed back to 9/30 didn’t bode well for October calls and I still was getting a good price despite both strikes being OTM.

Unsure what to really look at right now. Kinda trying to buy some Fmcc preferred shares at $6.50-7 but seems like the pullback today is being bought and selling is over.

Yup. You just don't get rate cuts if the economy is doing well unless you have a deflationary environment.

Rate cuts, hype, and political outlook are all making people less decisive.

Rolled my Nvidia put that I’m selling from $116 strike down to 113 four weeks out, $365 credit, will keep rolling down and out as possible, don’t mind taking assignment at any time really, but would prefer to get in at 100 bucks and ideally at 80, but I have a feeling it’s not gonna go that low.

in before Nvidia goes to $7 dollars.

lol I'm surprised my price target is higher than yours since I'm the one holding the puts lol but I feel better about it whether it tops at ~$20 or ~$22.

I'm starting to get really wrecked on this thing as every time I dbl up on the original strike, I also buy a new strike and it's not working out lol.

I'm planning to just wait for $22 to drop a huge buy on everything I'm holding and buy one final new strike but I'm kinda worried.

I have multiple expirations though so I'm hoping that will save me but I shouldn't need saving lol.

Should have just listened to Stock Bruh and I woulda been OK on this one lol.

3k total this week in option selling.
Sold a weekly Tesla $240 Poor man’s covered call, rolled NVDA put, sold a bunch of calls and puts on clsk and riot. Put on pltr.

Plan for next week is to sell put on mara and googl. Don’t mind taking positions in both. Would love to get into AMD and Amazon again, but I’m gonna wait until earnings or sell puts with very big downside protection just in case.

I think people are sleeping on Google all the time, the thing goes from $140 to 200 really quickly, I think it’s gonna go to its proper price of $220 quickly from here. Google is legit the most solid stock when you look at anything like PEG ratio, discounted cash flow model, analyst recommendations, price targets, it’s just a monster, and then it always goes down on some absolutely stupid bad news which can be fixed in about five minutes. Too bad the premiums are pretty low on it.

How far out are you looking? I’ve got June 2025 $7 calls but thinking about adding more. Should have sold some CSPs when it was closer to $7.

Welp fuk me boyos I've been working at the same place about 10 years and it finally happened. I hit middle management 2 years back and have come to the realization that I am now just a cog in the machine that can't go any further up. I won't lie it sucks that pretty much the only way to get past the point I am at is to essentially have no life and no family so you can be dedicated to your work. I guess I shouldn't be so bothered by it but I was really hoping to keep going on the upward trajectory... Realizing I am stuck just like everyone else in the rat race is tough. I am grateful for my family and the things my job allow me to do... just a tough realization and a welcome to the real world. Hold me misc

I feel like I'm kind of stuck 3 years in and I'm happy with it. Innovation and efficiency in my department is coming to a peak. I'm just sitting back for the last year or so, doing what I need to do to keep the sharks (c-suite) away. It's sort of nice, because no one really understands what I do either. The paycheck is nice, so unless something else interests me I plan on sticking with it and just retire early.

I ask myself if I even want to move up. Do you? The additional salary isn't going to change my life much. We're likely both financially secure being in this thread. The additional responsibility and stress certainly would be life changing. The last thing I want is to be in charge of other people again and that'd likely be the next step for me for a jump in pay. Last I saw in the budget, head of HR is only making $100k more than me, no fukin thx, not worth it. VP of ops was only making like 40k more and has to work with a psycho CEO, no thanks again. Just isn't worth it.

If you're living somewhat beneath your means, saving for retirement, and have a secure life, what's the problem? Assuming you enjoy your work.

If you want more $.. well that's something that's pointless to seek in a career, getting even a $50k hike comes with huge responsibility and stress so you're better off finding ways outside of work to make money.

Yeah y’all are right. I’ve just always had new opportunities come up every 2-3 years and I’ve been moving up steadily thinking it would just keep happening. Not sure how or why I never considered the possibility that I would plateau eventually. I was just thinking that extra $40,000 bump would be nice at the next step + a significantly larger share vesting plan but my quality of life definitely would suffer. I’m living out my dreams on my days off so I’m working on accepting it for what it is. I had this realization Friday and have been upset about it since so I’m glad to be working towards getting over it already lol. Thanks everyone on spread of course.

The Jan 2025 8$ strike are only 100$ a contract I’ll prob buy a couple of those to be safe but really I’m thinking in sept after the race cut they at least go to 10$, the 8$ strike for sep 20 are only 50$ I’ll prob buy a couple of those too.

My guy those are still expensive. When I bought the 6/25 calls they were $1.40 a piece $1 lower strike and 6 months further out. If I was you I would at least stick to January or maybe even go further out to March for an extra $35 a contract. Then if volatility spikes after earnings and we get a decent pop you are in a better position. Purely IMO of course.

Still looking at Kr calls, watching my old position and looking to go further into December or preferably January to re-enter if it dips at all. Kr CEO still incredibly confident it will get through, but things are starting to seem questionable looking at the number of lawsuits and how long everything is taking. Ideally things take a step back to $50 or so and I can re-enter shorter dated $55 calls again and maybe go longer dated for $60 calls.

Idk much about buying calls but if I pay 1.00 each don’t I only need the price to go 1$ above the strike to break even? So if you expect a stock to go up 3-4$ that wouldn’t be a bad price to pay would it?

It won’t matter if we are right. The bar for success seems to be relatively low for Sofi earnings tomorrow. Arguably I think expectation for their student loan refi business is too low. In May another year of grads started their new jobs and are likely to seek options to either reduce interest rates on their loans or reduce monthly payments.

Job market is stable and I think their personal loan portfolio is going to avoid delinquency and remain highly profitable.

Galileo likely to continue doing its thing.

They keep adding more customers with almost no physical brick and mortar locations and deposit growth is likely to continue as they continue to grow. Scaling with extremely low overhead should make a big difference.

If they can rein in their stock based compensation and post a decent surprise on profitability we should be roaring to $9 hopefully. I kinda wish I would have bought more calls today, but forgot to before market close. I decided not to sell puts just in case even though the opportunity had presented itself.

Short interest is 18% which is insane for a bank. If NYCB can post a diluted $1/share loss for the quarter and go up I think we can manage a decent bump.

Big tech earnings week... we thinking Nasdaq finishes higher or lower for the week? My bet is on lower.
