Yeah this is rough, you need to go back three whole months to find lower numbers on the S&P and NASDAQ

It’s a 12-week low on the indices, individual stocks could be good nibble candidates if something has moved enough and you have conviction but

The economy isn’t bad yet, I’d expect the market moves lower over the next 12-18 months but it won’t be a straight line down.

Biiig moves in some individual names though, specifically those “Mag 7”. I don’t recall ever seeing a -10% move on Apple.

Oversold 100%. But markets are irrational so can’t blow your load yet. Imma keep buying but plan to keep some behind for further moves. VIX In the 50-60s is a good indicator that further downward pressure unlikely.

Bonds trying to price in a 50 bp cut in September. Get fuking real. TLT puts are the move im going to make.

Some Freddie pref are trading at 10% face value and close to 60% interest at current prices. I’m still buying a couple here and there. I’m hovering at 700,000 in face value right now.

I think we are close.

It may be hard to tell due to strong bounces but you should expect them given the speed of the sell off.

The markets needs to clear some pretty heavy resistance levels and I expect you would need some sort of major catalyst to change the trend. Expect the market to try to trick you, get in early but light and double down if necessary. If you feel later that the market will crash then you can get out of your (winning)positions after the inevitable bounce.

Maybe to keep idiots from making bad choices? No halts on after hours trading so people can do some dumb stuff.

What is everyone looking to do tomorrow or the rest of the week? Sadly I'm not seeing much for deals I am excited about other than my usual shenanigans. I did buy some TLT $97p at around $1.50 for September. Doubt we see a 50bp cut so I think they could be money. Today I am grateful I left my EGY shares 100% covered at $6 no rolling will be necessary it appears lmao. Sofi held up well toward the end of the day after dumping down to $6.

Still lamenting not buying those $15 or $20 SAVA calls today fuarrrrrk up in the mid $30s and they have a big announcement tomorrow that either they are headed sub $5 OR they are headed to $100.

I wanted to short VIX when it was holding $60 but knew it would be too expensive and not worth the time to even look. I am sure that was an obvious call so stuck with TLT reversal instead.

Google lost its antitrust case so they dump tomrrow?

There is a way to tell. The only way to tell is to watch the color and length of the first volume bar at open on 1 minute chart.

Pick a stock that you like and that moves like NVDA or amd or Tesla etc.
If the first volume indicator bar is very tall and green it’s time to buy the dip!

Monday the bar was tall and green. So at least on that timeframe it was a great opportunity.

personally I would never take out more than 25% of my portfolio in margin, this way the market would have to perform one of the worst crashes in history in order for you to even get close to getting margin called.

At this point, I’m not seeing anything convincing in NVDA to jump in neither for long-term nor for a day trade Nor for swing trade.

I did a day trade yesterday, and I have a cash secure put on it as well.

I might have done more than that, but I’m just getting ahead of my paychecks and cds about to mature.

The only downside to holding in nvda is that it has historical storms in between its escalating earnings reports.
