Agreed. I have fun in NYC when I go there, but in terms of living I'm super happy with my current situation. No dick measuring contests, everyone is cordial to one another, nobody is that cutthroat. No snakes.

Every time I'm with friends who've moved to areas like NYC, I realize that they're lowkey miserable still living there past 35. Having to be a massive dickhead to everyone in order to get ahead, can't fully trust anybody, friends are actually "frenimies" or acquaintances, etc.

My uncle from Maryland offered to drive me and some other family members to NYC for a short day trip the day before we were to attend my cousin's wedding in Baltimore. Only was in Manhattan for a few hours. We just ate some pizza and cannoli and then bounced srs. Sketchy golden bulls and ****** everywhere. Taxis driving the wrong way everywhere and no one honking at them in gridlock lmao. This was in 2015 or 2016, so I guess the city was "better" at the time but a complete mindfuk to a SoCal suburb boyo like myself.
